Awesome collection - always enjoy the SNES videos! After watching one of your earlier videos, I bought Fifa 98 in mint condition for £35 and Michael Jordan in decent condition for £30. Happy to have them in my collection now. Retro collecting keeps getting more and more expensive!
You have an incredibly impressive collection. Obviously we see it on the wall behind you but in breaking it down and highlighting specific games, it really shows how amazing it is. My biggest surprise was probably Beavis and Butthead, I remember playing that with my brother. We had the Genesis version as well and I remember liking it better. Great video as always, RG. Appreciate you putting in the time to research all this.
Thanks, man! I used to have my NES, SNES, and N64 games in the past. Sold my NES and SNES...most of my N64 games and entire Gamecube/Wii library were stolen back in the day. But now it is fun to find these ancient relics of the past enjoy the nostalgia again.
That’s an intense amount of money but more importantly it’s a super impressive collection. I played Super Metroid for the first time this year. Amazed!!!! Loved it so much!
Wow what a great collection. My ps 2 collection is worth about the same and I would never sell it either. I know how you feel. I just started collecting for the ps vita and wow. Great video man.
Nice to know someone collects for the sake of the games rather than because of the potential financial profit it might bring. A lot of the fun is getting that bargain. But every game that goes out of a collection is a game no longer in a collection. Iv sold off loads in the past, and I still feel that pain to this day. A few years back, I picked up tornado outbreak on 360 for a few quid. It's current market value has flown up since then. To me, it's still a 3 quid game, though, as that's all I initially paid out for it. The only time I sell or trade games these days is to trade up or sideways for games i would rather have instead. Maybe one day I might have a clear out. But not today. Tomorrow's not looking too likely either lol
Yeah man, it's nice to see a return on any investment but its the love of the games and collecting that drives me. Thanks for watching appreciate it 👊🏻
Interesting video, cheers. I'm a PlayStation guy mainly and I actually bought the Castlevania Symphony of the Night special edition (with soundtrack and art book) brand new back when it was first released in the late nineties. Unfortunately I sold it a few years later while I was still young and dumb, as these days it often goes for £400-£500! I think the most expensive games I still own are also on PS1: Parodius, In The Hunt, Sonic Wings Special, Philosoma and The Adventures of Lomax (all PAL) seem to go for over £100 each.
Great Video- no really a collector but cherry picking a few games for the shelf in the man cave and my daughter retirement fund maybe. I picked up a very nice pal copy of Itchy and scratchy. Prize of the collection atm!
Another great video! My jaw literally dropped when you said the current price of that yellow version of Super Mario World! That's crazy! This video has also reminded me that I need to get a SNES at some point! (By the way, just wanted to let you know I've just sent you a message to your Instagram, about an interview on my podcast show. More details in the message. If you would like to, it would be great if you could take a look at it. Once again, great video!)
Thank you! I know.... its crazy right!? I mean I'm glad I own both, but if I only owned the red copy no way I'd pay anywhere near those prices to have both! Thanks again, appreciate you watching 👊🏻
Man that's a tough question and probably one I could make a whole video on, on the SNES I would cheat and say Mario Allstars, then I would get 4 or 5 (SMW version) on 1 cartridge!
Who knew Chaos in the Windy City would shoot up like that?! I bought that game years ago from Blockbusters when they were selling off a load of ex-rental games for £5 each since the PS1 had come out and no one was renting them anymore.
I've got a Zelda complete with inst. map and hints booklet in pretty decent nick, how much is that worth? I gave up collecting years (decades) ago and although I must've had about 200 SNES games not many had boxes. I'm still angry at Nintendo for putting them in cardboard boxes but there's nothing better looking in gaming than PAL Snes boxes.
Nice, it's all depends on condition anywhere between 60 - 120 at a guess. My favourite game of all time! Thanks for taking the time to watch. Appreciate it 👊🏻
@@RetroGhetto Mine too I think, it just took gaming to another level. For someone like me that had never played an 'RPG' before (when we knew it as an 'RPG'), it blew my mind and made the likes of Sonic and SOR seem dull in comparison. Skyward sword on the Wii is amazing if you haven't played that.
Great video dude and interesting to see how much it’s worth today. I thought about doing a similar video with my full set Master System. Just been looking at selling all my loose carts of snes to fund boxed ones.
As always great video, and amazing to see the price of your collection. Its the dogs 👌Just a pity CEX will use it to price there items haha. I feel the games market is just madness now, and prices are getting super silly. I added Mario Kart N64 to my collection the other day and when it arrived i had to laugh as it had a old reduced sticker on of £2.99 🤔. No matter how we moan about prices i will still be in Doncaster next month spending like it's going out of fashion 🤑
Wow that was a Job & A half, The FIFA game makes sense, as you said, the Game came out on the "at the Time" Current Gen Consoles So its will be a rare title in itself on the older consoles, also because the EA & FIFA Licence has now ended I wonder if the EA FIFA Titles will start to become Collectors Items? I'm very shocked by James Bond Jr an Awesome Collection Good Sir I'm glad to see that you are keeping it :-) Brilliant Video
Great video, interesting stuff. I find retro pricing quite fascinating, game prices seem to continually rise, even in these tough times. Really curious to know if they eventually plateau when the demographic (us!) who buys them get older. Cracking collection BTW dude 👍
Thanks man, yeah I would assume so, once our generation gets "old" and sells up.... cant imagine the prices being as heavy when nostalgia doesn't play a part
I’m currently selling a chunk of my collection, getting rid of the stuff I have no nostalgia for or will just never play (or have played and don’t want to keep). N64 is another console where prices have gone through the roof. I sold just 2 N64 games for a total £650! 🤣
That's incredible! If I sold all my comics, games and toys I don't think I'd get to that figure or even close lol! After hearing you say the bottom row was worth £900 alone I was like, I'd sell that lot lol! I've no nostalgia for the snes so that would be why it's the megadrive for me and even then it'd probably about 10 games that I'd be bothered about owning
@@RetroGhetto haha yeah definitely is fun, a challenge too which is good, I've been tempted to go after boxed games as I love your displays but the cost of most now is just a lot of money isn't it 🤦♂️ lol
