If we are not going to talk about the incentives that women have to assist in the creation of fatherless homes, then there is no need to discuss fatherless homes. The only solution to this problem (whether or not you believe it is a problem) is to remove leverage from women in the family court system. That’s not going happen ever because child support is a $51B industry not to mention all of the legal fees that are paid out to attorneys. So the only way to win is to not play the game. Many men are unwilling to do that.

Give father's automatic 50/50 physical and legal custody upon birth and get rid of child support unless a parent refuses or cannot maintain 50/50 custody. This would literally fix 90% of all our family issues simultaneously.

The issue is government intervention in families. Instead of parents and families being forced to work out their issues the government steps in and exacerbates the issues for one side or another or both.
The government uses its monopoly of force and control/violence via a unlimited money printer (FEDERAL RESERVE & FRACTIONAL RESERVE BANKING) which puts constant economic and social stress on working families through inflation and high taxes. Black families receive the worst end of this stick historically speaking.

I disagree or he would be on white platforms. The absence of a black father is the structure of the real issues. You can't have real economics or businesses without black fathers. That says a lot because back then when fathers were present even when Jim Crow and other forms of discrimination were active black businesses thrived primarily because of black fathers. The black father sets the discipline and the tone. You can have all the economics and businesses you want as a black collective without that structure, discipline, and other father-like qualities passed down. There is no character and without character, nothing seems to change. Today there are over 3 million black businesses and black people are still doing poorly. We collectively have a 1.7 trillion black dollar and do nothing with it as a collective. We spend more than we build. Back in the 1920s blacks had tens of thousands of businesses and had more than we do now. I'm a black conservative and most black people are they just won't admit it. They have conservative values. They think being a Republican and being a conservative is the same thing and it isn't. Black people need to stop being victims and stop blaming white conservatives for their problems.
Black liberals serve a white master under the liberal act of white people's forgiveness and tears.
Black liberals are still placed behind every other race especially Mexicans with this recent border activity. They are replacing the black vote with more Mexicans they can get into the US. They see the black vote swing in favor of Trump and the Republican party now. So they are making room for Mexicans even going to the lengths of paying people to take in illegal immigrants to live with them. Black people's problems don't matter to white liberals at all. So saying he's employed by white people is pretty much null and void because black liberals are doing the same.

Why don't we have access to our children the same as mothers do? Married or not shouldn't matter. As a parent out of wedlock I am still responsible for taking care of said children that I have absolutely no legal rights to as stated. I am a non-cusdodial parent. I'd have to file legitimacy forms for my children just for rights. Fatherless homes isn't the issue. The good ones get pushed out or have to deal with all of her bs just to be a father to our children. They hate that the children love their father. We normally spend the most time parenting and sterring the kids through life. We're mich more supportive to the children than their mother. When I mean supportive is not to use the child as an asset, but genuinely support the child and assist them with their dreams. We are selfless and mothers are selfish unless it will benefit them.

By 'absence' I think he means the barriers (the mother, stereotypes perpetuated by our own community) that ultimately result in impediments that keep a father from FULLY being an active, competent parent. As an educator of color who worked at a majority yt school, I can tell you from observation THERE IS A DIFFERENCE between how 'they' are allowed to have a HAND in their child's life compared to 'us'. In goes beyond being present in the child's life, so 'absence' of fathers needs to be replaced with 'fatherless homes'. Yes, it's a case by case basis. Try challenging a mother about making decisions regarding a child, and I guarantee you will no longer be a father in that child's life. The CDC doesn't go into detail about laws that prohibit fathers from having a say in what happens to their child. Larry is bringing constant attention on national platforms to the problem. When you start talking about fatherlessness, they understand that means taking away power and incentives from mother's, and implement policies to discourage single mothethood. Trust and believe they choose to be single mothers. These male show hosts don't even realize they're being used to do the bidding for their own destruction. Also, the question about what is he doing single-handedly is non-sensical, along with the tone they took with Larry is disrespectful.

The fatherlessness thing is surface level, all you have to do is look back at history and notice men were barely home, sometimes gone for years is search of coin and legacy, but for some reason his boy still grew up strong and wanting to be like his father, why is that?..... Even if you look at the advancements men made is the last 100 years you would understand that the men that built this country had no time for kids, I mean look at pictures of places like New York 100 years ago and tell me I'm wrong.
The real issue is men of yester year still had a firm hand on what went on in there household even tho they were hardly ever home, meaning mothers upheld the structure and rules the men had in place not matter if he was there or not and nobody talks about this. If fathers have to be in the home then why can a Indian man leave his family in India 10, 15 years and watch that boy still grow up to be a splitting image of him.

Most things aren't only individual issues. There are ways to influence behavior on a macro level.
That's why corporations rely heavily on advertising because it effectively influences group behavior.

    This pointless exchange was unnecessary.
A skilled interviewer would/should have attempted to "level set" the conversation immediately after Mr. Elder's FIRST "non-response"--- by asking him to give his definition of " fatherlessness". Once defined, they should be equipped to reasonably proceed from that point.
"Mr. Elder, to ensure the audience has a baseline understanding of the term being used here --- what do you mean when you say 'FATHERLESSNESS'?
That term means different things to different people, so...for the purpose of having THIS discussion, it's important to establish precisely what's being talked about --- not merely what some may presume it to be.
Professional interviewers (who also respect their craft) will intuitively find ways around these sticky situations...instead of making them more contentious.

Larry has got to be more stoic if he wants to be seen as a serious candidate. Forget the back and forth nonsense, what is the foundation of your campaign and plan of action.

Facts! The issue is BW’s inability/unwillingness to vet for the meaningful qualities in men. If we vet better, that would reduce the issues the women have with their individual situations that they love to generalize.

Yeah we simply can't get around women's so-called right to choose and this "cultures" tendency toward the mothers over the fathers rights. Thank you....
