First time listening to Trident. You mentioned a little B-M & Nemo in their style, I get a whole lot of Doll$Box in their sound. Great reaction as usual, Thanks !
Hi Dan! Yeah, they don't seem to get the same amount of attention many other Japanese bands do. We wonder why... We hope to cover more of their songs in future and get to know the band better as they are really great! Thank you, as always, for taking the time to view and engage and continually support the show. Much appreciated! 🙏
I totally agree that they are underrated in the way that they don’t garner the attention of Band-Maid, Nemophila, Lovebites, etc. Also, I think Serina is an incredible bass player. Being a bassist in a rock trio demands a different style of playing.
I am Japanese. It seems like you also listen to a lot of Japanese HR/HM. Imperial Circus Dead Decadence's ”腐蝕ルサンチマン、不死欲の猿楽座。(Corrosion Le Sanciman, Immortal Desire's Sarugakuza.)” Please listen to it once and see. Sometimes it's quiet, sometimes it's brutal, and sometimes it's insanely fast. You can watch a live performance on drummer Shuhei Kamada's drum cam from his UA-cam channel.
Trident occupy an interesting space in the Japanese power metal/rock scene. As a three piece band they produce a huge sound. Cry out showcases their instrumental skills and top notch vocals. There is a recent live video of Cry Out that is arguably better than the official video. Musically the song is interesting both melodically and arrangement wise.

Love this band! They are powerful. Thanks for reacting.
Thanks for this review. They are my second favorite band, just behind Band Maid.
Speaking of underrated, I think Asaka has one of the best voices in the genre right now and nobody seems to have noticed!
Well, it's only our third time covering them and we've begun to notice 😉
Thank you for taking the time to view and engage. Much appreciated! 🙏

Cry Out is a great song by Trident. I agree that they are an underrated band. I am guilty of it myself.

IMO Cry Out and Neo Future are two of their best songs to date. They are terrific and have many so many styles in their catalog.
