Marty McFly and Doc Brown confirmed for Infinity War!
The Comic Experience That’s it!! Marty and Doc will travel back to the past to prevent Starlord from punching Thanos in the face, and let Spider-Man take the gauntlet.
The Comic Experience more like endgame lol
Robocop was a marvel comic back in the late 80's.
As for the float itself, that was typical 80's thanksgiving.
hi.
Wolverine, Cap, Magneto, Luke Cage, Emma Frost, Doom, and the Goblin. Yep, THERE'S a crossover we'll never see in theaters...
Don't forget Robocop
Never say never...
-Bob Iger
@@SuperWoodb Dont forget Daredevil and Dr. Strange
@@Patrick_D and Enchantress.
And Hulk.
Daredevil is just casually climbing ladders
I didn't realize how long ago these videos were put up on UA-cam. It's almost as if UA-cam was just created and someone immediately knew that someday the world would need to see these videos. And they were right!
***** Scott did you notice The Back to the Future theme at the begining? If you dont know the Theme to that movie then that is it
Kinda wierd how they used that theme
+Comic KIDD not only did they use that theme. They also used the clock from the film as the hulk tears it down.
Oh i didn't even notice XD!
Its one of my favorite movies too
great Scott! ;)
+NerdSync ikr? lol
I loved how Robocop came out of no where to help out.
Wowwwww what a crossover!!!!! You got the Marvel Universe before the birth of the MCU with the Back to the Future theme playing and a FREAKING special cameo from Robocop. Man do I miss the 80s and they sure don't do it like this anymore 😪.
they probably thought RoboCop was Ultron...
Jim Shooter helped with this float and the Spider-Man balloon in 87. 31 years later and still lovin this.
This was the only reason why I use to watch the Macy’s Thanksgivings Parade. I still remember watching it for the first time back in 1988 then watching The Trial of the Incredible Hulk on NBC on Black Friday. Oh what a treat for die hard Marvel fans such as myself back in the day’s.
preferred this than the new Fantastic Four (2015) movie
+kylemj89 lol
*New*
Gotta love that classic Captain America music.
Orion Pictures: Okay, so we'll let you use Robocop for the float this year since you guys are doing Robocop comics and a cartoon for us. Can you just make sure to name drop him during the action sequence?
Marvel: Yeah, sure! Not a problem!
Cut to Thanksgiving Day 1987 during the Parade...
Orion Pictures: There's our cashcow! Now to wait for Captain America to drop his name and even more people will know about Robocop!
Captain America: Take over, Cop Man!
Orion Pictures: ... God fucking dammit...
I remember watching this exact parade as a kid and it was the most amazing thing I've ever seen.
Remarkable that Macy's happened to choose music written by the future composer of _Captain America: The First Avenger_ and _The Avengers_. Insert joke about a Macy's employee time-traveling to his future.
Cap saves Wolverine, saves Powerman, and defeats Dr. Doom and the Hulk! I guess Captain America was the star that day
quick marty, we need to go the future, wolverine needs your help marty!
He sure does
Purple Stuff Podcast (the podcast made by former x-entertainment guy) brought me here. I didn't need my real player ;)
This video should be an annual tradition.
I remember watching this when i was 6. It has been the only thing i've waited for every thanksgiving. Only to be disappointed every year. Thanks for posting!!!!
Why are they playing the Back to the Future theme?
+anjake01 thats what i was wondering lol
Because they saw into the Future?
Seriously, you probably already know this but, Alan Silvestri composed the score for both BTTF and The Avengers.
Beyond that neat connection I have nothing, No idea why they went for that music.
Peace
Phe
I think the idea was that, since Marvel didn't have any iconic themes of their own at this point, they'd just license some other music and treat it as general epic/heroic music.
BTTF is so iconic, though, even back then, that I don't know why they thought people wouldn't instantly recognize it. :)
@@Pheonix11 yes, I know that very well. He's a genius!
Yeah, that was better than some of the movies they have put out. Especially Broke Back Hulk. "Hulk, no quit you!" I actually remember seeing this float on TV!!! Good times.
Who else was expecting a Stan Lee cameo?
I was huge into comics back then. So I had to look out for the Marvel Float and Spider Man balloon.
I must have loved this as a kid. 😏
RoboCop was ahead of his time. Literally! Marvel didn't start publishing RoboCop for 3 more years, 1990
I'd watch this movie.
Please, someone make this happen!
Who out here because of Ya Boi, Zach?
ME
Me too. Liked seeing it without the constant commentary from Zach because I frankly enjoyed the show.
I haven't seen "Endgame" yet, but I'm going to assume that the plot is identical to the one seen on this float.
Better than many actual cosplayers
1:27- Robocop??? What are you doing on a Marvel float?
Marvel was making Robocop comic books at the time and was starting to make the cartoon series in the near future.
Todd Roiter But the way he just pops out for a second...like hey Cap I know you could use my help but since the writers haven't decided if I'm part of 616 continuity or not yet I'm just here to say hi....to all the people that are not really here watching us....
he's there to promote the x-rated cut. Like wtf? LOL
He was posing as a Doombot.
Is anyone else confused about the BTTF music?
Oh thank God. I thought I was the only one.
I was really confused by that also.
There has got to be a reason why they specifically chose to use that music. Other than it being awesome.
***** Well if you recall this is around the same time at which a promo for universal studious theme parks started appearing at the front of just about every universal film for the home release...it showed a ton of clips from great classic films...usually the protagonist at their single most heroic moment....I think that may explain the music choice.
How many are here because of the Purple stuff pod cast?
This is why I stayed home from school every year lol this and the thanksgiving cartoons...the 80s were unbelievable.
The costume looks great even before cosplay became viral! I can see Spidey, Capt. America, Luke Cage, Hulk, Green Goblin, Dr. Doom, Magneto, Enchantress & Emma Frost! What, is that Robocop?
Awesome video, I enjoyed watching the Thanksgiving day parade it was awesome
I haven't seen this in years thanks for the upload
That's totally Thurl Ravenscroft (Tony the Tiger, singer of the Grinch song) as Dr. Strange in the beginning there.
Thank you for sharing this! :D
This is so good!!!! G-D I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!!
I saw this on the Maxims Facebook fan page. They showed tv spots etc for Marvel through the years. This makes the early 1990s Super Bowl Half Time shows look like Gone With the Wind.
Ha! Funny. So many years ago. I played Captain America in this parade! It was a hoot. FYI Robocop had just been aquired by Marvel and it was a forced effort to connect him with Marvel. You're effectivly blind in the Hulk costume, so yes, he had to be handled carefully.
wow that was great thanks for posting this vid!
power man looked sweet!
It's like the Turbo Man parade float in real life!
simply awesome. this better be in continuaty
I prefer the Civil War remake from 2016, but this version is alright...
Dat back to the future movie tho!
True
HoustonProductions1 watcha doing here lol
Doom didn't even do anything, he was just standing there when Cap jumped him.
its amazing how far theyve come in developing these people and the didnt have Spidey
Captain America: I know what I'm doing, I knocked him out over 200 times 😅
Hulk is not a bad guy!!!
wmfivethree true...still my favorite!!!
Back in 1987, the entire Avengers squad got SMASHED trying to take him down.
media.comicbook.com/uploads1/2015/03/hulk-316-cover-127911.jpg
Logan's like, "I don't need help to deal with a FRAIL, Doc!" XD
***** Brought me here!
You just couldn't help yourself...
Damn, "Back to the Future" theme, Robocop, and Marvel... It's so 80s
OH MY GOD hahahahah. I dont know what's more crazy Willard Scott, or parade float using the Back To The Future music.
@azgrem Thank you my obviously classy man! The real name of the Governator's super hero persona escaped me as I only watched "Jingle All The Way" twice in my life time. I bow to your Schwartzenegger Knowledge.
Wow! Haven't seen that since, well, 1987!
What I mean is that it seems like it's been at least fifteen to twenty years since we've seen a Spiderman float at the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade,
I just really kinda miss it,
Does Marvel even still take part in that parade these days?
I didn't know it could be done, but this has the best example of a Real Life Big Lipped Alligator Moment.
Robo-Cop..... Just him.
Okay, so he had a book in the Marvel line, but even if it was spiderman, he just flips a switch back, and then disappears, and is not recognized or talked about, and is not mentioned ever again.
Wow better than the avengers movie! 8D
For a good 10 seconds I think I was saying, "I know that music...I know that music".
Back to the Future. Hilarious. And what's better is that somewhere in 1987 there as a Macy's Day Float designer who thought this idea was a real winner.
@runawayboulder
Marvel was publishing Robocop comics at the time. The real question is why did Robo switch off what Cap switched on, aren't they on the same side?
Was that RoboCop that saved Doctor Doom?
+Christopher Gibbs Nope, Ultron
It's the New Avengers 20 years ahead of time! Now we know where Bendis gets it from. :)
dope as set
wow. that's oscar material right there..."you're through, dr.doom!" corn.
LOVE the RoboCop cameo! :)
LMAO! Very fun! Thanks for the video!
Holy Shit, they had Robocop in there too. I guess cause Marvel acquired the right’s to the character back when they made the animated series and comic books. Speaking of which, does anyone remember the Marvel Action Universe that use to air early Sunday mornings on NBC?
holy crap, I remember seeing this!!
That. Was. Awesome.
Marvel started in 1938-1939 as timely comics they had a comic out called marvel comics at that time. In 1940-1941 captain america came out and around that time is when comics really started to get into the mainstream. DC comics came out in 1934 and in 1938 is when they came out with superman. So yea the comics that we know and love today have been out for a good long time.
He had his own Marvel comic at thew time.
Bellissimo!
WOW, I guess Back to the Future fever was everywhere!!
I LOVE BTF
THIS. IS. SO. BAAAD! How the **** did Cap defeat the Hulk (and why) when the Hulk can drop the East coast in America into the Atlantic with a couple footsteps?!?! I prefer this to Parker dancing, believe it or not.
That kicked ass.
Why does this music work so well for marvel lol
they need to do this again, espically with as popular as the marvel movies are now
Wow Enchantress in her old costume! Suicide Squad should have used it instead of the weird costume they came up with.
you kids and your telletubbies with girl on fire playing in the background (for some reason...)
this is a REAL thanksgiving day parade float!
i just notice the music in the background is from back to the future
Did Cap walk out of a giant X Factor comic?
Captain America is a lot stronger than he looks.
haha, back in the early 90s I had the Captain America videogame.
2:04
Whoa! Did not see that coming
up to your old tricks again, HULK? this is hilarious lol.
Yep, that was Robocop. Marvel comics had the license for him for a while and put out some comics.
YA BOI ZACK SENT ME HERE
*cough*
The music is better than "I need a hero". Lol
I notice the music in the background is from back to the future
awsome actions:O
wow that was the year before I was born
Ya boi, Zach
"Wolverine is being touched by a woman! I must intervene!" Captain America is a Cockblocker
hey tessyblue your right. they are using bttf music. weird, but it's cool. it works well with the performance and i love marvel and bttf, so it's chill.
lmao @ Magneto jobbing to Capt. and the Green Goblin and Dr. Doom catching the Hulk.
OMG I AM DIEING HERE FROM LOLZ
Infinity War's looking sick.
I'm an american and I think it's weird. But you have to remember, this was originally filmed in 1987. 19 years ago when this post was... Posted.
man i didn't know they leaked the avengers online! chris evans is great! and i love how they made the hulk look just like mark ruffalo!
This needs the song from Rodgers the musical added to it
