Bro i think im just dumb (100% the case), i can't figure out a good sound to get started... Everytime i try to tune a perc hit after pitching it to make it longer, i just can't tune it, Edison or Eq not doing it for me... Maybe all i need is a simpler perc? But i can't find them, i went through like 5 drumkits 😣 Edit: the video is good af👌I just suck😂
try to find something with an actual pitch like a triangle or bell or tonal drum of some sort, if u use something that was made without pitch in mind then its harder but it is still do-able; try putting some notes you find familiar like a melody u are really familiar so u can try tuning by ear and then using an eq/edison to check it afterwards
