  • With the seasons beginning to change to autumn, I decided Ito have another shot at a deep sky nebulae that's always evaded me. Little did I know that by the end of this journey, I may have made my greatest image to date...

    Wonderful video and excellent final images. Hard to believe the Milky Way can be seen within the city.

      Thank you, appreciate it! Yeah, even though I live in a Bortle 5 village the local light pollution, as shown, is just bad. So I was really surprised what j managed to eventually pull out of the data myself.

    Hi Ruz great final images mate

  • @TheNarrowbandChannel
    @TheNarrowbandChannel 2 роки тому +1

    Does that lens have some Chromatic Adorations? The Broad band seams to have some halos on brighter stars. Or maybe it jus the processing? I know I hade sometimes wildly different results stacking an image multiple times with chromatic aberrations.

    • @AstroFarsography
      @AstroFarsography  2 роки тому

      The telescope controls its colours quite well. The HaRGB version was just bad post processing. The camera lens though, yes. It does suffer from chromatic aberration. It isn't ED glass or particularly expensive glass for that matter

    So much detail in the final images Ruz Excellent work and thanks for the video mate. Just waiting for clear skies here in Melbourne it's been a slog.

    Nice images there Ruzeen I was going to image it one night but I've been doing a lot of low down Southern targets this season but I will be pointing a scope there soon I think.

    • @AstroFarsography
      @AstroFarsography  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks mate yeah I don't blame you for picking off those southern targets. I'd be all over the Eagle, Lagoon and Trifid if I could see them but I'd have to probably drive to the south coast to even be in with a shout to image them!

      @@AstroFarsography We went all the way down to the Southwest to image some southern targets & I only managed to get 6 minutes on the Lagoon nebula, the target I were after was the Helix nebula but never managed to bag it there, however when I set everything at home I managed to get it lol. I have uploaded them all on here but happy to have bagged the Helix as that's always been a target I have wanted to image since starting this hobby.

    Really enjoyed the vlog man, thank you for sharing! (well, practically shared twice by the sound of it haha! what a pain having to go back and re-edit, reupload etc, ouch dude!!)

    Hey Ruzeen, Mike here from NiteZpeed ---- Great Image.....Very Vibrant...Been watching your Channel awhile and I have to agree its pretty awesome....I just want to say, that I still use my DSLRs quite a bit in my Wide and Ultra-Wide Astro, and I have found a very handy Filter when confronted with Light Pollution..(I live on the Far Northside of Phoenix, Arizona so I get quite a Bit -- Bortle 6 here at home)....Its called The Hoya StarScape Lens Filter.... It made a Huge Difference in my Imaging, and I use it on my 18-55mm EFS and My 75-300mm EFS Kits....It works really well for Time-lapse, and Ultra-Wide on my Channel....Its a 58mm Filter that screws onto the Lens vs Clip in ....Might help you out....If you go watch my videos, you will see it in use....Huge Fan Ruzeen....Your Channel is part of my Channel's list....Always great info and always enjoyable content on your channel.....Its Finally cooling down here in the Desert, so I'm getting ready to get into high gear again also....Clear Skies Ruzeen!

      Hey Mike thanks for the comment. I'll have a look at that Hoya Lens filter. For some reason Hoya sounds familiar to me. As if I've seen it somewhere before. Appreciate the kind words and I hope you have a very successful imaging season!

    Nice to see you using the MSM. I love that tracker for wide-field / nightscapes. I use it religiously with my smaller lenses. I can also wholeheartedly recommend the Optolong L-Pro for use with widefield lenses and DSLR (I use a clip-in for my Canon). Pelican looked stunning. Great image. Very inspirational.

    • @AstroFarsography
      @AstroFarsography  2 роки тому

      Yeah! Applied in the right circumstances it seems to be an excellent little star tracker. I certainly need a proper tripod for it though, or the wedge. I was looking at getting a clip in L-Pro. Maybe that's the way I'll go. Just got to decide whether I'll be upgrading to a Full Frame body at some point or if I'll stay with APS-C. Thanks for the comment :)

  • @mikehardy8247
    @mikehardy8247 2 роки тому +1

    Pardon me for being confused. You show a fancy mount etc. But show MSM etc. setup as equipment used?

    • @AstroFarsography
      @AstroFarsography  2 роки тому

      So the "fancy mount" and telescope were used to capture the pelican nebula. The MSM rotator and a DSLR + lens were used to capture the Milky Way, hope this helps clear it up!

    • @mikehardy8247
      @mikehardy8247 2 роки тому +1

      @@AstroFarsography yah, sorry, I watched it again and caught that. Just got Star Adventurer GTI! So will be leaving how to use a proper goto mount. Bortle 9 skies here. Star hopping is tough. Waiting for ASIAR. What focal length for Pelican?

  • @Bills_APCh
    @Bills_APCh 2 роки тому +1

    Why was the big EQ mount used instead of the move shoot move tracker for this wide field shot?

    • @AstroFarsography
      @AstroFarsography  2 роки тому +1

      For the actual pelican nebula? I'm unsure whether the MSM rotator would've been able to support the weight of the telescope and camera. I know know a fact the ball head and yhr tripod I used wouldn't have 😅 so I chose the EQ for it, as well as being able to use the ASIAIR Plus fully for goto and dithering
