@@michielnooren2076 let‘s be honest.. cycling is way too much about numbers. What’s the difference when the bike is 5,99 kg instead of 6,01? Right - nothing. Go have a wee and you’re off with more weight benefit.

Gone are the days I did my own bike maintainence...can't keep up with the technology and all the tools required
I can do most of the work with hex keys + a few special tools for Shimano stuff. IMO SRAM eTap makes it easier as there's fewer wires to route.
you have to have a normal work bench and maby 3-4 special tools, the "technology"is really simple imo

But instead of music accompanying the build it would be far more useful to have you comment on each individual part, it’s cost, it’s weight, advantages, disadvantages, etc. For example, how much do those wheels weigh? What is their cost? What kind of hubs do they have? What is the engagement number? How do they compare to the Roval Alpinist CLX wheels that come stock with an Aethos. Thank you.

I'd be shiting myself about scratching it. I can't even put a wheel back in my frame without marking the hell out of it. Those wheels look unbelievable
my road bike is also 58cm, and it ALso weighs 6KG (6.12 no pedals) Its a 2011 Trek Madone with aluminum wheels! Neat!
But no Disc brakes…

i wonder how well these wheels maintain speed?? lightweight is sure thing, so climbing is no issue... but as most climbling wheels, they sucks at cruising speed

Yeah, I think Dangerholm’s 17 pound XC bikes are the closest thing to an Aethos in the MTB world
@@quarkonium3795 I ride a 28 lbs trail bike.... 2021 specialized stumpjumper comp alloy and that’s considered a pretty good weight without carbon.

@@markadams7328 Hey Mark...thanks for checking. I looked them up briefly(bike ahead composites), but it kept directing me to ebay, and UK sites/distributors, so I just gave up for now.
I always wanted the Roval 321 discs, but these spokes grabbed, and kept my attention Quickly, lol.
Long story short, I didn't have much luck. Wish it was easier to see the US price, contact a local dealer, and get them. Were you lucky enough to obtain a set?

You'll need a bike computer's speed sensor zip-tied to the fork blade.

I don't think Garmin manufactures magnet-reliant speed sensors like what CatEye did. It's meant for bike computers with this kind of sensor, like CatEye.
