Vitosha boulevard is one of most beatiful and unique capital's streets you can visit, I could say ...world wide . From one side you have a view with a beatiful snow covered 2200 hills mountain and from the opposite side of the street, a beatiful 10th centery old church ! Amaizing!!!

I love that most of them recommend something outdoors. For the BEST coffee, skip the chains and go to Dabov.

I was about to write the same thing. We stayed several years ago in an apartment across from Dabov 1, and went to try it, and it was the best coffee I've ever had.

@@TheRealRaygor Yeah, they know what they are doing. They care deeply about the actual coffee, and each cup is made perfectly. I'd change their lighting though. 🙂

@@queenredspecial What about restaurants? What are your favorites? I can't remember most of mine, because it's been a while, and my Bulgarian wife would just take me there, so I don't remember the names except for Manastirska Magernitsa which I love.

    • @queenredspecial
      @queenredspecial Рік тому +1

@@TheRealRaygor The Magernitsa is always good - touristy as it is. 😆 I like Sun and Moon (Слънце и Луна) nearby, as well as Soul Kitchen, for clean but too fancy food. My favourite restaurant is in Bistritsa, a local and beautiful village, and it's called При Къри. Best homemade food, beautiful atmosphere, unforgettable dishes.

@@queenredspecial I haven't been to any villages near Sofia. My wife's parents live in Sliven, so that's where we spend most of our time, and then take trips to various places in BG.

Almost every time I come to Sofia (going back to 1998), I like to go to Slaveykov Square and look at the books for sale.

Sadly, they've ruined that now. 💔😭

@@queenredspecial It definitely changed over the years, how is it ruined? Is it gone now?

@@TheRealRaygor they haven't ruined anything. If you want to buy books there are special places to do that. Right now you can buy books on Slaveykov only during special events.

Finally some one speaks on metal and goth. There has to be a club or pub that has that kind of music. Usually there is, even if one.

Great video! Next time we will be interested to hear the opinion of non-locals who live in Sofia :) We are sure they will have some really original ideas of what is interesting to see in our city. Thanks for your recommendation!

Note about the metal heads... No one is going to "do a number on you" politically if you stray away from the centre. Don't worry. :)

I also thought that was a bit wild, in a previous video I was walking though the streets early in the morning and it felt a lot safer than if I was don’t that in London

No sane person will claim Sofia is the best city on planet Earth but it's unlikely that you will get a real feel of the city in less than 1 week, it has a lot to offer to different tastes. 1 day means you'll only see a tiny bit of the places of interest and they hopefully leave a good impression.

Coffee is a liquid mind altering drug and very bad for adrenals.
I never drink coffee, same with sugar and other processed man made stuff.
Cave men never drank coffee, and coffee is not readily available in nature.
Do you give coffee to a 5 years old?
