I work at a Bodega and i listen to the grumps play supermarket simulator while i work, creating an experience where it can feel like working in the Same Store as the grumps
Arin will consistently say the most bizarre things with no context and Dan will say "huh, that sure is something" but Arin will have a minutes-long freakout when Dan says "I think it's impressive to play an instrument perfectly while chewing gum"
Arin really is the type of person to latch onto one tiny little thing that he deeps "out of place" and have an absolute meltdown over it and it's absolute cinema every single time. Like a clam, he makes pearls out of a mere grain of sand.
And although Grundor doesn't deserve it, the almonds are a great way to be closer to Master. That is, aside from this quiz I just - GRUNDOR just made...
The fact that the shelves don't snap to a grid and the sizes of the shelves don't fit the size of the store perfectly still kills my OCD, 30 episodes in
YES! Every flipping time I was telling myself "they'll match up, it'll be fine. There's no way they would make shelves that don't fit the length of the walls!" Every. Single. Time. I will feel the dust bunnies in those wall gaps for as long as Buy and Leave stands.
Thank you Game Grumps for helping me through so many tough times in my life like the death of my father, my incarceration for murdering my father and even now, during my escape from prison for murdering my father. Couldn’t have gotten through it without you guys!
Dan mentioning Dark Side of the Moon lining up with Wizard of Oz reminded me of a video of Dark Side of the Moon lining up PERFECTLY... with Paul Blart Mall Cop 2. Cannot recommend that video enough.
Every time I heard about it, I was like "yeah, that's a funny joke, but I bet it doesn't". Eventually I conceded and found the video. ...it's real. It works. It's *amazing* . *The Blart Side of the Moon*
GameGrumps Lunch Break Chronicles, Day 380: Very tired. Just got my scooby snacks with me at the moment. Holdin it down. We ball. 8/10 on the scoobs. Looking forward to clocking out.
we ball is something I say to myself quite often, I understand. i too, was looking forward to clocking out. Then they sent me home to cover for labor or whatever
🎵 It's Wednesday, Wednesday, gotta stock up on Wednesday, everybody's looking forward to the grocery, grocery! Buying and Leaving (yeah!) Buying and Leaving (yeah!) Fun fun fun fun, looking forward to the Game Grumps 🎵
Game grumps got me into playing the game on my own- and now I get so annoyed watching Arin play, like "BRO WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!?" Peak Game grumps experience.
“Isn’t that the one where they have the prism?” Arin describing the Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon album, I cannot believe Dan kept his composure after that 😂 5:10
These episodes are either the best thing ever, because my adhd gets it, or literally the worst thing ever, because my ocd just LOATHES watching Arin try to organize things.
so beacause we added new items, sometimes the game doesn't register them right away or sometimes after buying the license the product isnt on the list to buy stuff until you start the game over. almost all this games issues can be solved by just restarting the game. if there are no customers? restart, Stockers not stocking? Restart, dirty stuff not getting cleaned? restart lol just turn it off and on again, it'll work XD
Master has built a beautiful Buy & Leave. Be sure to keep it well stocked Grundor. And leave the floor almonds* for the paying customers. *Floor almonds are not real almonds because BEES.
In my years of plumbing and HVAC, there are 2 times that things are going to break. 1. The hottest/Coldest day of the year 2. The very second the technician leaves the house. We do feel gaslit, until the new problem is found. Callbacks are always a bitch. Especially because as soon as i get there the customer is like "I dont know why but its working now"
This series really needs to expand to twice per week. We need one episode for stocking/nervous breakdowns and another for operating hours/finding out which new products were purchased but not stocked.
Arin's ability to become confused and disoriented is clearly contagious, as demonstrated in the Buffy discussion with how Dan began suffering it too lmao.
I can verify that Dan was the only one that screamed when Monica’s face flashed. Also, this is the same man that screamed over a toy skeleton in an iSpy game.
13:20 I've come to realize that Gen Z humor is a *spiced up* form of "random HAHA funny!" sprinkled with "why THAT specifically?" mixed in, just to make a sheer *picasso-fied portrait* of botched bits of logic. Like you wouldn't bat an eye from just "Grundor lives on scraps" but then you'd lose it when it's taken further to "Grundor's only nutrition is drippings from a wrung floor-sponge dipped in soy sauce"
Dan: - says absolutely correct thing about being able to fit a shelf behind the overhang of the other shelf- Arin: no, I have to get this corner shelf that looks worse and holds fewer items for the space and I also admit will be useless later
Arin really increased his Buffy-ness when he played "Who's on First?" with Dan regarding Buffy the Vampire Slayer the movie's cast as compared to the cast of the tv series of the same name.
12:30 the fuckin instantaneous switch from the weird ass Buffy bit to both of them low key screaming with joy over Grubdor’s Floor Almond caught me off guard. But like. In a good way!
Supermarket wensdays are the highlight of my week; it always makes me happy to see arin and dan playing this game. It makes my heart happy and is really comforting to have something to look foreward to. Grumps if you ever read this: thank you for all you do and the joy you bring to youtube
i understand arin saying chewing gum is easy and its not a fair comparison playing the game and talking but i found it soo funny how much he was arguing about how doing 2 things at the same time is was easy and then runs back and fourth frantically trying to set up the new shit
Maybe Dan is thinking of blowing bubble gum bubbles, since chewing some gum doesn't typically require coordination or thought (hence the insult that someone "can't walk & chew gum at the same time").
Arin, just take all the time you need off camera to reorganize the store, change shelves, move stuff around etc. then start the episode, none of us will be mad, or at least I won't.
later Arin sitting in Seths office. Seth: ... So... Arin: ... I am so surprised i am here... Seth: you trying to take the Ted position from me? Arin: oh no

the answer is yes, yes we do want to watch you put stuff on shelves. I personally would still watch the series even if you never opened the store to customers again. Just you and the boyz frantically running around reorganizing all the shelves and buying stock just to sit there forever unpurchased
classic arin : buys 8 box of one item, set 4 spots on the storage shelf, complains there's not enough space XD. when i played i bought 1 box or 2 (or 3, depend on item) if i knew i would do a complete refill on the store floor, oragnised my storage per section (cleaning, frozen, fridge, shelf, others), it's so worth it.
Arin, 15 episodes ago: "ugh! I hate these tall racks, I hate putting boxes all the way up there, I'm only going to buy small racks." Arin, now: "WHY AM I RUNNING OUT OF STORAGE SPACE!?!"
I finished this over the christmas New Years thing. The full shop is no where near as big as I thought it was going to be in the end, it’s like a very small local supermarket like a large petrol station size. I do have freezers on one side. Fridges on the other I got a mod for fruit and veg a whole isle for drinks. I moved the tills again the window the whole width is all 6 tills then an ally of self checkouts with the self checkout helpers.
Arin: "Where is everything?! It's as if I've just whimsically thrown everything on whatever shelf was open at the time and labeled everything nonsensically!"
2:18 This happened! During the Natsuki/Yuri argument where you had to pick one or the other. The screen got more and more zoomed in and then Monika’s face was there. Both Arin and Dan screamed and the ONLY reason I know this knowledge is because I use that playthrough to fall asleep 😭😭
Supermarket Sim continues to be an actually accurate simulation of working at a grocery. All of the irksome qualities, all the stress of making payments and deadlines, the super busy sale days... It's all there.
I get where Dan's coming from with the gum thing, but I don't think it's a difficulty thing, I just think it's a badass visual for a dude in a suit to be absolutely killing it on piano and just casually chewing gum.
The series is so popular that now we get a whole episode of just organizing madness. When it started Arin would do all of this off camera out of fear that no one would care about it enough to watch a whole video of it. But I remember the upset comments! (I was one of them lol) I am glad we are seeing most things now. Truly this game is not even that much of the game. That's just the background for whatever madness they are talking about. There are bot that many happenings in this game that they can talk about crazy shit for hours
I was waiting to see when Arin would discover that the size of the shop, shelves, and products don't match. It's still early access, but it's so frustrating. You either have to (mentally) deal with odd gaps or with shelves that protrude out too far - There's also an odd amount of items, so you'll end up with empty shelves or having one too many shelves for one product, both of which look weird. Still fun though.
I work at a Bodega and i listen to the grumps play supermarket simulator while i work, creating an experience where it can feel like working in the Same Store as the grumps
i love that
My head canon is you're that cool person at the bodega who says "hey kid if you answer 2+10, you can have all the chips you can carry". 😊
I wonder what Arin and Dan would name you 😂
That's so sweet! And a little bit sad
you ARE toy boy roy. sitting at the counter watching your two bosses screech and run aimlessly around the store
At 5:05:03 of "Doki Doki Literature Club: THE MOVIE (2017 Game Grumps Playthrough)" both Dan and Arin scream at Monica's face appearing.
I am terrified of you.
Thank you for your service, Not Tod Howard.

As a decade long viewer, Arin is insufferable sometimes. Dan has the patience of a saint.
@@stenzel27 As also a decade long viewer, every "insufferable Arin" moment is my favourite moment. All is balanced.
That's because Dan is a "go with the flow" kinda guy while Arin is Arin "Will Die On Any Hill" Hanson lmao
In fairness he's right.
Arin really is the type of person to latch onto one tiny little thing that he deeps "out of place" and have an absolute meltdown over it and it's absolute cinema every single time. Like a clam, he makes pearls out of a mere grain of sand.
Grundor’s Floor Almonds is another perfect addition! Make sure to leave some out for Grundor ❤
And although Grundor doesn't deserve it, the almonds are a great way to be closer to Master. That is, aside from this quiz I just - GRUNDOR just made...
Grundor, I know this is your alt account.
I love how Dan remembers the bit so well even though when they were doing the episode he sounded like he was being tortured 😅
i appreciate grundor, he keeps the floor almonds away from those with allergies. godspeed grundor
The best feature about shopping at Buy and Leave is the abstract sculpture of 56 boxes in a pile they always have out front.
Monika living rent-free in Dan's head. Guess she got what she wanted, in a way.
True 😂

Did you perhaps gently lower him into a river with a forklift?
Did you happen to murder him whilst on a forklift?
Did you kiss him first?
relatable
Arin having no space, complaining about having no space, and then still buying hundreds of units of each product is just who he is at his core.
Me and my crippling addiction to buying more action figures despite my shelves being full

I hope the Buy and Leave brings back Milton's miltons. They were delicious, and you hardly even notice the poison.
They probably wouldn't bring them back. They were only for decoration after all.
@Andy-sv6fj but, but they melt in your Miltons 😢.
