    Just a quick update, the desk, chair, and arm still hold up! My wife and I use it up to 8 hours a day at different heights, and my kid still plays with the controller. IF I have any issues, I'll be sure to let you know.
    My referral link still works and the DUAL150 code is currently the best deal: desky.com.au/?ref=1u5DBn1G

      Hey thanks Jack, that's really nice of you to say. A video on a monitor arm isn't the most exciting thing in the world but I did what I could.

    hey, thanks for making this video. was having a hard time getting a review that demos the max height for monitors with a standing desk because like you, I am tall and require the monitor to be higher off the desk than most. This sealed the deal on me getting a Desky arm.

      I know this is a really late reply to your comment but I wanted to know how the monitor arm has held up over the last year? I'm about to do an update video and mine is as good as it was the day I purchased it.

    Excellent review - content and production. Told me a lot more about this monitor arm than reading their website. Also loved the well timed forehead bump with your gorgeous baby in the intro.

      I'm really happy to hear that, thank you for the feedback! I got really lucky with that shot and it took a few goes, I'm not very fit so my arms were hurting the next day!

    semi interested in the topic, but loved the video. Informative and easy to watch and take in, which made me watch the whole video.

      This is really high praise, thank you. It's pretty hard to make a monitor arm interesting unless you're actively looking for one so the fact that you enjoyed and watched the whole video is a big deal for me!

    Hey, nice review. Just on the clamp fitting. Do you know how wide the clamp mouth can open? I have an Ikea desk and the table top is very thick (2 inches)

    • @Payne.
      @Payne. Рік тому

      So I know I'm really late responding to this, and it's probably of zero use to you, but I finally removed the monitor today. I couldn't find any info online but I don't see this working with 2 inches (5.08 cm) reliably. I'm not sure if any of their other clamp mounts are suitable for that sort of desk. I know, the ones where you make a hole in your desk would work! Again, sorry for the delay, and I hope you or someone finds this comment useful.
      If anyone out there reads this has a more definitive answer, I'd appreciate it.

    Knowing how tall you are vs the desk was key for me.

      Glad to hear that. For everyone else, I'm 194 cm, and it's a suitable height with minimal wobble.

    Hi there! Did you find that the tilt mechanism was very stiff facing upwards like you have in the video?

    • @Payne.

      I'm so sorry for the late reply. I took a big break from UA-cam. In answer to your question yes, it's very stiff but also very stable.

    Once you loosen the bolt, does the arm still clicks?

    • @Payne.
      @Payne. 2 роки тому +2

      Hi! It does yes. I wasn't able to find a way to stop it from happening. It only happens at a certain height.

    • @Payne.

      The up and down tilt isn't very smooth but it does hold its place. Every now and then it becomes loose and I need to re-tighten it.

      @@Payne. Thanks for your reply I did sort it out but like you said it doesn't hold it's place mine doesn't hold it's position at all and the screw is fully tight to the max and my spring just shoots back high up so I may go back to using the original g8 stock stand
