Thanks for this! I've recently found the game (was trying to remember it for waaaay too long!) as I played it as a kid and could not make much out of it. trial and error helped me back then and could not remember the 'blueprints' for buildings. Thanks to this tutorial, I was able to get the basics and successfully complete a full playthrough against an easy opponent. There are few things that are still unclear to me (such as two remaining buildings - magic pool and something that i couldn't figure out the layout), but managed to upgrade gear and produce weapons after researching. Also, now there's one full playthrough on youtube :D Thanks again!

The game needs a ROM-hack, implementing tooltips, and maybe a bit streamlined digging/building interface.
