Any skatepark is 30+ mins away from me and no indoor parks in the winter.
Hey bro, I think I understand your pain. My state has never had an indoor park and our winters can be pretty punishing, but some of my favourite skating memories are the times when we made the best of what we had.
I'll sound like an old man giving advice here, but I would definitely suggest learning some woodworking basics if you haven't already. A little determination and some drill skill can go a long way.
A good friend and I once found a skip bin on an old construction site with some average plywood and a heap of long planks. We struggled through a 30 minute skate home carrying what we could and hacked together a little kicker and a wooden flat bar that afternoon.
Whenever we weren't allowed to escape the rain and set up in his parents garage, we'd rush the flat bar to an undercover car park nearby that had a little 3 stair. We eventually found and hammered some old steel on for coping so we could do more than just board/noseslides and got a couple of years out of our dodgy little rail. We learned a heap of tricks, made some great memories, and made sure we were able to the thing we loved most, no matter what.

rdberry266 you should purchase an ambition snow skate, with the x grip. I live in Maine at the moment and though there is an indoor park the winters are crazy. So I packed down snow on to my house steps to make a bank and learned impossibles into the snow bank, super fun and definitely cures the winter blues. We get these huge snow piles, use a sled to pack it down and try to ride it switch or pack snow onto a chain link fence and wall ride it. Good stuff, I use the Lakai Griffen weather treated mid, and some wool socks. Good luck.
