Now, 13 years later, we both enjoy and share our love for BBNG.

used to cut the grass to this record. #mowmusic
tight
...and by grass you mean your beard, right? right.
I took old plastic earphones, broke em and shoved them in some shooting earmuffs #mowphones
Evan Finch totally playing this shit when i cut my grass tomorrow
So you hear this song to smoke?
man i used to listen to this constantly my senior year of high school when it came out, really glad i rediscovered it
2021 this album still goes insanely hard
It's always gonna be a banger tbh.
Wish Guru was around. He'd make a solid Jazzmatazz record with these guys.
fhoplist hell yeah he would
I can hear it now
If that happened i honestly think i wouldn't need to listen to another record ever. That would be it for me. Spoiled forever.
The Guru on this and Jeru tha Damaja
fhoplist this comment just made me sad. Cause it's so fucking true.
BBNG and Kendrick showed me that jazz wasn't just old people, cocktail hour music. But, that it's still alive and well! So good man
Might be a stupid question, but kendrick who?
@@danielvalles9554 No sweat man! Kendrick Lamar! Check out his album To Pimp A Butterfly. Very jazzy! Especially the track For Free
@@henrycadman5564 Dope, man. Thanks, I think I'll do just that.
this is dope it reminds me of all these "beat tapes" I like that are like jazz samples over boom bap lo fi kinda drums.. but this is an actual band playing it which makes it even doper.
ya one of the best producers in Hip Hop I love it Jazz is awesome
+Lunar Orbit lol true. ever since i made this comment a year ago I've been heavily listening to jazz just clicking on random stuff on here and a lotta jazz even stuff from the 50s,60s and especially 70s I can hear where hip hop came from pretty much.
I was zoning out pretty hard on the album and that sudden zelda cover made me check if i was sleeping or not, did not expect that, good shit
ok good so im not crazy
Same here, high af and suddenly fucking OoT fills my head. Great touch!
these dudes are so underrated it ain't funny ppl just dont know
I remember hearing this albums years back, still holds up what a masterpiece!
Damm.... Guru (rip) Looking down from heaven smiling right now shouts out to DJ Premier he reppn Houston. this make me miss real hip hop these white boy are talented and got some taste reminds me of the old acid jazz blunted roots joints. This is a must for real hip hop heads
Just remembered this album today. I loved this when it was released and downloaded it but these guys kind of disappeared off my radar. Glad I found them again.
6 years later this album still dope, but I think the evolution of BBNG is very impressive, more experimental, mature and stronger than never
hello is my son here in these comments he needs to come hom from xaviers house
+Raymond Capetillo did you find your son
+Adam Moscinski no
fuck
+Mitchem Callahan Well that escalated quickly.
+Raymond Capetillo i miss my son
Oh shit. I heard a reinvented J Dilla beat. You know what that means. I must consume this album.
there's also ashley henry easter EP , 4 songs and you'll be familiar with at least 2 of them lol
nice King Crimson Profile Picture ^^
Fall in love
If you want to consume some other J Dilla tribute stuff to fall in love with check Moody Goods rework of "Fall In Love". Impressive sounddesign and a nice interpretation of the original flow of the track.
im sure uve found abstract orchestra by now... but they have a whole album dedicated to dilla and 2 for DOOM
Holy shit coming back here after so many years, so nostalgic
This song is really so good. Props to the boys for their dedication to the craft.
This album absolutely shattered my music taste when a friend showed it to me in high school. I'll always be grateful.
somebody with a good taste in music sent me here from a csgo lobby
I"m actually gonna play csgo with that album in the background. + they do a little medley of Zelda songs!
csgo lul

Duuuuuuude. Heard BBNG2 a few weeks ago. Put this one on and Brooklyn ZOO came on. These guys are under rated. God Bless them.
Finally something I can pound out some Homework too, this album is purely amazing artwork, keep up the good work BBNG
a gang starr cover and a joy division cover in one song, incredible.
Reminds me of summer time back in highschool....
Gettin high and taking naps

David Consuegra I'm high right now
@@ceciliacastro7962 I am now, we'r creating a good history of listening
Shiiiiiittttttt. That is some heavy duty stuff right there. Thanks in advance for providing my tunes for cruising around town.
this is the best thing i've heard in a while.
35:14 Almost crying. GOSH THXS BBNG for this. Why I ain't found you before guys?
Most epic versions of TLZ - OOT
#11 was a surprise and it gave me chills. Real good. love it.
wtf.. how could I have missed this?? truly exceptional!
you guys are great!!! I love the way chester commands the bass... to say he simply plays it is an insult. the key playing was tasteful.... but all that in combo with the drums was immaculate. thank you thank you
Excellent album, varié et harmonieux de bout en bout ! A réécouter avec charme et profondeur !
This is my very first listen to any of their work. Track 2 complete. I am pleased.
Fell in love with this band
I still come back to this. Love it.
This is a great album. Love their sound. Dark, mysterious, a bit gangsta, jazzy beats. (especially Listeriosis & Salmonella)
At 35:15 starts the Zelda Ocarina of Time theme song and at 37:24 starts the Lost Woods theme song, and at 41:00 starts the Song of Storms! Very nice!
I was flipping!
Thank you so much for this ❤❤
Fav instrumentals from my fav artists what a delight

Major yesterday's new quintet vibes all around this banger!
Altisima banda. Realmente la tienen atada. Muchos saludos desde Bs As, Argentina.
Took a two month break of jazz and listened to hip-hop. Now i can identify the beats.
Man.... they’ve really come a long way (especially whoever’s on keys!) :D
man originally on keys left bbng :(
great album, so relaxing to listen to
J Dilla is the rock star behind dark, foward intelligent jazz. Im listening to this and making new art. Thanks BBNG!
Amazing work guys!
35:14 This melody is so beautiful, it makes me remember the moments that I spent with that special person, it hurts that she left me because she got bored with me. Hearing this makes me want to cry and remember her a lot of nostalgia; (

Thank u Denzel! thank u thank u again.
This is a grt trio and what a great sound i can kick back to this Im On BBNG grt work..
Just discovered you guys, your stuff is sick!
This was a very important album during high school for me
This is pretty sick.
Canadians know music, man
yeah like Nickelback and avril lavigne right? ugh. IMO this is one of the few good things out of Canada. this and Ken mode.
as far as music I mean
haha dont forget the biebs ;)
lmao Canada is bursting with talent. I think the difference is most of our artists make underground music that's not as accessible as American pop, classic rock, or electronic music in Britain for example. You've probably just heard of Neil Young, The Guess Who, The Tragically Hip, Alanis Morissette, Justin Bieber etc. Check out our jazz or electronic music festivals and get back to me...
Richard Coskey gybe is good af
Fall in love was definitely the music on a buzzfeed video.
Cheers universe. right on time.
Obra maestra del 2012. Pura nostalgia
Mad Underrated stuff right here.
Zelda and Jazz is now what I need an entire album on.
this album is amaaauzing!
hip hop and zelda tunes. everything a fella could ask for.
Anyone else just scroll through these comments cause they are funny as hell?
I was very shocked when the Zelda music started playing. I thought UA-cam moved me to my next recommended video, but no, it's on this same album. Wow.
manso disco, los quiero ♥
It's amazing!
love love love the Nas nod at 16:15!!
Lots of memories with this CD
It's no ordinary feat to be able to reach millions of viewrs (listeners?) with experimental and instrumental music... BBNG is no ordinary band...
words (except these ones) cannot express how much i wouldve loved to see obd perform brooklyn zoo with these guys backing
Love the Mass Appeal cover

Fantastic album
Even thought they get better and better, this, their first one, was fucking FIRE. GOD DAMN.
This music for your soul.
Amazing.
even the birds outside my window are in sync with this
Don't surprise me like that with hidden Zelda themes come on! I have to be emotionally prepared to listen those or tears will come.

Sounds a lot like J.Dilla.
