  • In 1926, miners in the north of England were expected to take savage wage cuts. A group of young men in Northumberland, barely surviving and intending to stop a strike-breaking goods train, ended up derailing the Flying Scotsman and had to live with the consequences.

    I had heard about this film so it's great to finally see it,thanks to Michael for it.The pit owners should have been up in court for the way they treat the miners.Some great film of the village from the church tower.My mother knew Mr Mrs Muckle.
