But considering the brand quality you should look for the motra madrock. as it feels more premium products as well. if you feel comfortable to purchase second hand product, make sure it is well maintained. Cradiac is only better in gears, but that does not make a huge impact while using. wish you a safe ride.

Have you compared Alpha pro before buying this!? If yes, why did you choose this over that! Also, i plan to buy it from Amazon/Flipkart than the company's website directly. So does this make any difference, like in duplicate parts, service, etc etc. Any suggestions would help me much.
I purchased it 2 months back. There was no altus gears in the front and suspension was not zoom at that time on the alpha. That's why I choose xc. But now it feels almost the same specification for both of them. There is no changes if you purchase from any websites, you will get service provided by the cradiac team. Consider your height before buying. If you are 5.8 plus go for alpha pro.
Thanks for such a swift reply. However, what are your thoughts on having a 8 speed cassette vs 7 speed freewheel!? I don't do any off-roading or mountain trails. I just need it for City rides for commuting to the office for around 30-40kms. I need an mtb as roads are full of potholes and gravel. So does the gear system make any difference.
Cassette didn't felt any difference in daily commuting. Being an 8 speed will gives more speed capabilities. If you are not planning to ride above 40 kmph both are same to use.
