So sad to see this. I had a simular situation some years ago, i had 14 fish, 5 of them suddenly got infected & had to come out. Saved the other 9 with meds, but it took quite a while and many treatments.
Sad to see mate. Just gone through the same myself in the same time period. Tried everything I could to save them but lost the entire pond. 23 five year old fish that I’d grown from tosai, probably 100kg of stock. I feel your pain.😔
So sad Dave, but you had no choice. It happened to me years ago, bacteria overtook my koi and I filled the general waste bin with individually double bagged koi. It broke my heart, so much so it's taken me 12 months to start again. The pond lay dormant and was pp'd along with everything I used on the pond. I never want to experience that again. Not the easiest thing to do mate, but the right thing 👍 I just wish it had been done a couple of years ago, but onwards and upwards, and a little tip for you, maybe get a protein skimmer on the sleeper pond with all that foam😉

Being new to UA-cam, im shocked to see what's happening to people's fish. Not had a lot of deaths in 30years. Now im trying so hard i hope it's not the kiss of death 😢 🐟 i will be ok 🐟
To be honest gary i had many years issue free other than the odd knock here or there , i think its only in the last 10yrs or so thay these issues get seen more due to social media ect. Also i believe the hobby has become to sterile and the immune system of the fish cant fight the infections off like they used to 👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

ffs iv been packed up 17 years and youve always been suffering i miss my pond but you have to thank the eu for changing all the treatments i dont envy anyone these days with these treatments 😒 back at it and chin up bigger and better this time ,been mates a long time and i know this wouldnt be easy decision to make but its right for the future 👍
