could you talk about lens adapters? Specifically ones with built in nd filters like what you use so that we can use S-Log at 800 iso and have everything look good
im from Uganda in Africa. im so glad i found your channel. i must say im so very inspired by every thing on your channel. you are making me a better film maker. Thank you bro,
You make a 'shot list' From there you can make a 'story board' to help illustrate these ideas.. Ideally b-roll isn't something you overthink, or plan for, unless you want to capture a specific action at a certain time (but that wouldn't be b-roll, that'd be another 'planned shot')
. how to plan beginning, middle and end ... do you know exactly what the final vid will look like ?.. how to organize so when shooting ,know what to shoot .. that would be very helpful.. thanks ..
@ycimaging check out the app The Photographers Ephemeris. It allows you to pinpoint a location on a map, select the day and it'll tell you the exact location and time of sunrise and sunset that day, as well as show the path of the sun. Super helpful when planning videos or shots that are a few months out!!
My friend i really love your work,it is amazing, with all honesty, may i ask in this great music clip showed at 2:12 what lenses & camera did you use? Did u use variety of lenses or only one at this amazing clip, please post link of the clip also, thanks & please keep providing information, thanks
def a great tips man.. never knew airbnb could be used for filming.. hahahah.. I thought it would cause conflict cause the owner wouldn't like that his/her house to be used for shooting a film..
Thanks for sharing your wisdom brother. Do you factor time spent location scouting into your pricing for a shoot? I know there are people who make a living just doing location scouting for campaigns/projects so I feel it can be seen as a service if the client doesn't provide a location. Just wanted to hear your perspective. Appreciate you and your channel.
Scouting on Instagram is decent too. If you know the city/area you are going to shoot in, just search for the location on Instagram. If you see something cool, send a DM to whoever took the shot.
Would you include the cost of a rental location (airbnb, etc) in the budget breakdown or tell the client about how much the cost of the home/mansion is?
one thing i'm having trouble with is. I dont know how much I should charge the client for my work. how do I know how much to charge them without scaring them away (too high) or too low for me not to be exploited for my work???
Kailon Mccoy a good way to know if it's possible to get on the roof is if you see graffiti, that means someone has been up there at some point. Also you could ask the owner of the business if they could give you access.
airbnb be tripping though. A lot of ppl will want you have commercial license which will run around 3000 but the best thing to do is book for how mnay ppl you will have and dont tell them about nothing your doing
+Abnormal Gang, I first thought of doing that myself. But that is a BAD IDEA. So many things could happen with taking that unnecessary risk. You could get caught by the owner. the neighbors could tell the owner what's happening you get caught and lose your deposit and are kicked off the space and kicked off Airbnb You look unprofessional and are embarrassed in front of your cast and crew in the process. It will fuck up your whole shooting schedule if you're caught. the professional thing to do is to get permission when shooting interiors and you're not always looking over your shoulder while filming.

My experience is that owners on Airbnb are not photo/video friendly. Also most places want a 2 day minimum.
it looks like the frame is squishing you vertically
How to not be tresspassing tho?
bro you can't just get an airbnb and shoot a commercial video in there without legal repercussions lol
