First, the great Bob Cole of CBC Hockey Night In Canada retires a few years ago, and now Doc Emrick in America. Hockey commentary will never be the same without Bob Cole and Doc Emrick.
Doc’s voice and hockey go together much like Pat Summerall/John Madden of the NFL, Mel Allen for baseball, and Marv Albert for the NBA. Thank you Doc for so many years of excitement and fun. You sir will be missed. Enjoy retirement!
You gotta love that sweater hanging behind him. The Ft Wayne Komets I grew up in Ft Wayne and loved the Komets. I live in Palm Harbor, Fl. and celebrated the Lightning's Stanley Cup
I'm surprised that he wore the Coat and Tie but that said Doc is a great man! I can't wait to read his book. The only thing that I would like to know is how can I get it personalized?
Wasn't really a fan of Doc (I grew up with Gary Thorne), but I have to say, hats off on a great career. Hopefully, ESPN can secure the rights after this year and hire back Gary Thorne and Bill Clement!
