ive heard IRVINE say in interviews that the Cosworth was a very powerful engine but the chassis let the car down. But watching these onboards, the car seems VERY driveable
The Cosworth was a little down on power but the 2005 unit was powerful and gained 80hp on the 2004 unit I think but I still think the chassis weren't that great, Ford didn't run the team that well and I think ran out of patience with their financial problems in the early 2000s they've never been good with money Ford as was evidenced when Red Bull bought the team.
also looking at his best season 2002, he only finished 7 out of 17 races, reliability looked to me like by far the biggest issue, with the current points system, he would've had points every single race he finished
The classic sound of a 3.0 liter V10 Formula 1 is my favorite Era of F1 an keep doing what you doing barney ward I enjoy your work an that engine sounds angelic to me
It was one of my favourite teams growing up along with the orange arrows and Jordan. At least we're getting something that looks similar with the Aston Martin team in 2021.
@@hunterwithashblossom2131 like it or not, modern F1 is a joke. 90s/00s F1 was the real deal. only good seasons in the last decade were 2010 & 2012. not even nostalgia, u just watch any race from those years and u get the point easily, modern F1 is boring, predictable & artificial
@@aggerktm 2020 was the best year in F1 for a while, that's coming from a LONG time F1 fan. Yes the V12/V10/V8 era was great but we're not getting it back. Stop your bitching and move on. Don't like it, find something else to watch.
@@JR28. if u think 2020 was a good year when we had 2-3 good races and no title fight then you're just delusional lol. a good season is something like 2012 2010 2008 or 1999, not this boring shit
@@aggerktm you're the delusional one pal, living in the past I see🤣 those were all great years but you're stupid for thinking 2020 was boring... maybe if you were at all invested or following the sport properly you would know It isn't always about who's at the front, any REAL F1 fan will tell you that. 2020 had plenty of eventful races, battles and highlights. If you can't see that then on behalf of every F1 fan, please never watch another race again, the sport is better off without idiotic people saying 'its boring now' or 'the new cars sound bad' every chance they get.
It had the best livery throughout the years. but personally I believe it was fault of the drivers. The cars were well driveable and you can see there was no difficulty taking those corners or ripping through turns.

James Denny the cosworth was maybe a pretty good engine, but with Williams it will be catastrophic...
Most of these onboard are in practice ou qualify sessions. The car setup is totally different from the race.
Yea, no kidding. Different strokes for different folks huh, engine strokes that is 😜

I miss Jaguar in Formula 1... It was maybe not a topteam, but it was beautiful looking.

green f1 car are wonderfull. caterham too looks fantastic
R.I.P. Justin Wilson.
R5 has probably the best looking F1 livery of all time.
NFS2SE3HP4HS8U2 what about caterham
They're also great, especially the CT03.
NFS2SE3HP4HS8U2 I dunno, i think the R1 has it beat and it was capped off nicely with those gold rims, but tbh, all of the jaguars looked good : D
@@NFS2SE3HP4HS8U2 I preferred the CT05 honestly😉
@@ce6ric I also prefer the car itself, especially with the new front wing, but the livery is slightly better on the CT03 in my opinion. :)
Rip Jaguar And Justin Wilson 😔🙏🏻
4:55 What a lap.
this is no lap
This is the most beautiful F1 racing cars that it was ever built. Such a beautiful color and great racers have already driven this car...
Yes Sebastian vettel was the driver who took four titles with red bull from 2010-2013
RIP real f1 and RIP Justin Wilson

I love the colour
I don't know what everyone else thinks. For me that V10 sound was the sound of F1, and it is sorely missed!!!
I prefer the V8 and V6 far and above over V10, just mind numbing droning
Cool vid I really liked jaguar as a kid : D
Engine melody..
Back when the red bulls actually looked good!
You should have added the Stewart team to this video.
Hungaroring
Astom Martin

What engines did jaguar use
Cosworth V10
Cosworth.
Cozzeh
Miss the old hungary layout
Beautiful cars, weak performance. A pity.
not particularly slow, but horrenously unreliable
when traction control kicks in it makes a horrible sound.
Jaguar, beautiful but terrible!
