I read in the comments that you planned to maybe improve this game another time, you probably wont see this but i played the game to get a few ideas Obviously the graphics will need improvement, but i wont focus on that. Personally, i would of changed the health of the ennemies, 2 hits is fine but i would imagine that the red ones could have 3 hits instead. Some different types of units would be nice, for example, maybe a purple where they just quickly dash into you but only have 1 hp, maybe a darker red one which shoots 3 projectiles in a burst pattern and has 3 hp, Black ennemies that dash and shoots projectiles, White ennemies that shoot in like 1 projectile per second, and maybe a mini-boss that that has like 10 hits and all he does is dash at you, but there is a big light red zone that indicates where his trajectory is and it takes like 1 second or 2 before he dashes, maybe later on you get new abilites , for example: Tornado Spin, you do 3 spins that can all hit ennemies and has decent range, and maybe there could be a progressions system, for example: Level 5: Purple ennemies arrive Level 8: Dark Red ennemies arrive Level 10: All ennemies have 1 extra hp + Tornado Spin Unlocked Level 12: Black ennemies arrive Level 15: White ennemies arrive Level 16: Mini-Bosses arrive I also do believe that there could be a system that after each level, you get 1 hp back (max 10) and that you could choose an upgrade, for example, extra damage, longer dash, dash cooldown, projectiles, range, 1 Bonus hp, Extra spin, etc. I realized while playing the game that since the ennemies follow you around,you can get them stuck on a wall and easily sweep rounds. Although, the thing i hated the most while playing, is that there is no minimap, so you dont know where all the rooms are and honestly that was pretty annoying. Looks like u miss the idea becouse if we change the main hero sprite to a classic human game will become a classic roguelike without nothing special try change health bar to scratches and cracks on sword. Also change enemies (idea with chess was good) and attacks (right now I haven't ideas but we now haven't mc sword the mc is invible dude with our sword). Try do not fast but more interesting 😉
The title of the video was just kind of based off the game I had already made. It was a game jam so I didn't have much time, and if it wasn't a game jam I probably wouldn't have came up with this idea in the first place. At some point I may update it and use some of your feedback though.

sick game but technically not a roguelike. This for that There is no random loot. The three traits of a rogueLIKE are Perma death prodigal levels and random loots. While this is a similar genre to rogueLITES they are not same for roguelites have meta progression meaning you can acquire some kind of loot outside of dungeons whether that is a new character, a new weapon, a new area, a new mode, or some sort of power then it s not a roguelike which doesn't have meta progression. and I said rogue to much (edit: they are the same beside rougelites have meta progression
