Great content. New subscriber. I am a Zimbo from Bulawayo and visit home every year for the past 33 years that I have been away. Despite some challenges I love Zimbabwe and plan to return permanently soon.
I left Zim 13 years ago. I get terrified at the thought of coming back permanently, although i want to. The economic downfall was very traumatic for me.
Don't be scared to return. Zimbabwe is a great place to live. I go back every year after living in the diaspora for 33 years lived in six countries and visited over 60 countries. But Zimbabwe has the best quality of life in my opinion. Just plan carefully for your return in the future.
Kudos to you my brother, you make us proud and am going to be honesty am ashamed of myself, never done one single thing to promote or just relate to our diverse cultural heritage back home or abroad, good news am in for the task, i am transformed!
Lea you say kumusha better than Tatenda so cute 🥰👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾weldone. What do you guys do? What’s the source of your finance you live a beautiful life. I love your channel ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The speed bump conversation made me laugh. Really enjoyed listening to this. Haven’t visited Zim in three years and things are always changing frequently in terms of currency but not progress in terms of power cuts
Great Vid. You should try the local stuff, like gango, and go kwa Mereki or Zindoga. I realised that's the things I miss when I'm not in Zim rather than the fancy restaurants
Thank you for the video Lea! You mentioned that you've taken Shona classes online. Where did you find them? I want to learn some Shona, but haven't been able to find many good resources here in the US! Any website or app recommendations would be great! :)
Such a shame, Zim used to be such a rich country, glad to see you guys doing this, live to see mixed couples, black, white, yellow, green, who cares, we are all people on This planet, all the best to you xxxx
Great content and detail., .. so what inspired you to move back from PA, knowing the poor political climate and terrible governance?? Zimbabwe was definitely a great place to live back in the 90’s - everything used to work well, roads were good, electricity, water was available all the time. Years of corruption have eroded everything basically. I commend you both for going back . Well done and good luck.
Thanks so much for watching! We both felt it was important to have this time in our lives where I got to live and learn how he grew up, spend time with family, etc. as well as visas and immigration were much easier this side for us to be together! Zim truly is magical ✨
Im actually in your home state today in Pittsburgh by Mt Washington. Will prob visit Zim (chisipite area) once we understand the covid situation and vaccine requirements.
My wife is from Wexford PA and I’m Zimbabwean/British. We were there in 2018 and 2019 and I’ve been returning a lot since then. She loves Zimbabwe especially Kariba. We got engaged at Victoria Falls. When we come there, (which we come a lot 6 times in 24 months) we stay in Arundel with an easy walk to Arundel shopping center and enjoy a bottle of wine at the wine store right there. Great vlog and continue to enjoy the country. Well done!
Question. So whats your job? I see you work from home. How are expat salaries these days?. What does your husband do? What are monthly wages like for expats and in what job?. I was born in Rhodesia, we left in the early 80s for obvious reasons. I would think about returning now that Mugabe is gone and bring investment but I think its still shady and the economy/government control of the economy is still shit house. Your thoughts please. Regards from this old Plumtree boy.

Hi! You can get tourist visas and continue to extend them but it does get pricey! I would suggest checking out other options - I am on a spousal visa with residence!

Lea the way you can explain Zim you are a true Zim at heart now, love it! You guys are good together God bless your union❤️

Good.life.in.Zimbabwe.
Very educative. I wish the government would get their act together regarding electricity and the infrastructure in general.
I left Zim 13 years ago. I get terrified at the thought of coming back permanently, although i want to. The economic downfall was very traumatic for me.
Well said. I haven’t met a Zimbo who don’t want to return, but it’s a bit scary.

Yes we know. A time when this couple would have been illegal lol. Not everyone had it good back then, just a select few like now.
Interesting , don't know anything about Zim except the last president!Have things improved for the general population?
Unfortunately not much, many people are still struggling to afford basic necessities and food
@@LeawithoutBorders Sad to hear that.

Living in Hwange can’t relate to load shedding and no water
I was born Chingola Zambia, lived there 19 years, dated two black guys, only ever learned about six words in Bemba, disgraceful!!!!
