This new case was my fear from the moment Watson settled those previous 25.
Watson was adamant not to settle, to go to court because he wasn't allowed to talk, but the women talked all the time, under the veil of Jane Doe. That's Buzbee 's M.O. to let the public convict him and force a settlement.
Browns wanted it done ( move on to the arbitrator, suspension, and 2022 season) so Watson settled.
Because all the other cases are public knowledge, anyone who has ever had involvement with him can come forward and say whatever they want, describe a mutually agreed date, take out the romance, insert the word force and under the veil of Jane Doe, drag him for as long as it takes to get a settlement.
Same as last time, Watson's people will have to fight to get her name, in order to compile evidence, but by then he's guilty in the public eye.
Until Watson can speak his truth, about all of it, hus thoughts at the time, his side of the conversations etc, all we have is the word of women willing to take money for silence.

This is pathetic, your still defending deshaun after he raped a woman!? This is more serious then him sexually assaulting 26 other women. But both should land him in jail for a long time. Are we really surprised though? Like I'm disappointed but not surprised at all. Sure I saw the super bowl potential, and it's still there, but that can always go wrong especially when we still have yet to see a complete performance from Deshaun, and we've won 1 playoff game my entire life (I'm 26 years old)
Surprised to the point that Watson swore there was nothing else that could come up (he signed for that in his contract). If this new lawsuit, whether anything ever comes of it, leads to another suspension, he's done for good.

I think the Browns have an owner problem. IMO Haslam's prints are all over the D. Watson deal + Baker trade... which will now cost the Browns wins and success for years. On top of that, this, more than likely, isn't the first time Haslam has foiled the Browns. I would imagine he picked Manziel and that he also probably pushed for OBJ. Both didn't work and both cost us. Unfortunately, Haslam thinks he is a guru and nobody in the building is willing to tell him he's wrong (bunch of yes-men).
How in the hell did this organization get this wrapped up in this mess . The GM should be fired and anyone else attached to this disaster.

As sad as this situation is I don't blame the front office, browns defense was top 3 for a few years and they wanted to capitalize on that window, chubb, garrett and more. I kinda wish they kept baker man to be honest, he has the heart and the kid at least listens and tries his ass off and goes home to his wife every-night. They got desperate and signed Watson trying to win one.
Baker destroyed his own relationship with the staff, we all watched it unfold in 2021. He even admitted it himself recently, said he acted like 'an asshole.' What's done is done, we move on. Watson may never pan out, but at least I know my team finally has the balls to go big or go home.

At this point it doesnt even matter (from a browns fan pov) if allegations are true or not. If they are true hes scum and should be immediately dropped and worry about the money later. If its NOT true hes still too big of a distraction and its clearly ruined him mentally. Its time to go - sucks we never got to see if it would work but its time. Winston can play way better than a 9 QBR. DTR can back him up.
Yeah, strictly from a Browns fan POV, if this leads to a suspension, then it's officially over. The legal side will play itself out, but if the NFL rules that he violated the conduct policy once again, they won't hesitate to suspend.

In Al seriousness I’m definitely tired of this shit same here I’ve seen the past allegations that several women spoke highly of him and worked with him again. Even with this new case she wanted a certain dollar amount privately, didn’t get it and chose to sue. But THIS IS IRRITATING like I feel like a lawyer not a browns fan & im just over the shit bro. The strategy for Watson needs to be deny everything. Unless the woman can produce a "blue dress" there will be no physical evidence, no contemporaneous police report and/or legal complaint. It will strictly be "she said/he said" and that probably won't be enough to do anything with. So Watson will probably beat this one. But if there's more.....

That's like running back to your ex-gf because you're not happy with the current one. You left the ex for a reason, never go back. If the current one isn't it either, then you keep looking for the next one instead of reverting back to one that already didn't work.
That said, AB is awesome, dude is giving us every opportunity to compete. He can only do so much, then it's up to the coaches and players on the field to execute. If Watson never pans out, I love knowing we have a GM who's not afraid and will swing for the fences again.

I'm not so sure the NFL is chomping at the bit to suspend Watson even if they're concerned about what they find...this sounds cynical but the NFL cares about their brand before the moral high ground. & if Watson continues to look bad on the field & the Browns are looking like idiots does that really hurt the NFL's brand? Don't you think the general NFL fanbase would cheer that on if it meant a sort of "karma" story to laugh at?
I think the NFL would rather see the bad play continue & the Browns bench him themselves, or continue to crash & burn. Why get involved unless the Browns start to look playoff bound & relevant?
Kinda like how we say "winning will fix a lot of problems" with our fans, it's almost like in this case a Cleveland dumpster fire will satisfy pretty much all other NFL fans more than another suspension would 🤷♂️

Can we please stick to the X's and O's of football until there are concrete facts upon which to render any sort of judgement. Right now your dealing in total speculation about an allegation of a very serious crime that is being pursued only in civil court not criminal, by the same attorney who just so happened to represent 24 other women who had very similar claims.
What part was speculation? We just presented the information available so far and some possible outcomes.
