This just saved me a whole lot of work trying to get into transcription websites. I got into Casting Words since like a week now and still no work available and you just gave me the answer why. Thanks a lot, you earned a new subscriber~
@@zuhaibtahir2944 I think i might've tried to get into gmr a long time ago but i don't think i got in, forgot the reason why. However with Casting Words, with a whole lot of patience i finally was able to get some work! Though they're not consistent at giving assignments, you just have to stay alert for when they drop a whole bulk of transcription jobs and do as much as you can while it's available. Acceptance rate is heavily skill-based.
Auto Transcript does not format your transcription. It still makes some errors which need to be rectified. It's a good tool to get your transcription done in a fast pace, but you still need a human to arrange things in order.
I must say that Jennifer Marie is about the only honest UA-camr I have watched in my 7 years of freelancing, when it comes to money-making opportunities. Most other content creators are pure evil opportunists who aren't worth the time spent watching their content. I say that so boldly, I dare any other content creator in the money-making gig niche to challenge my stated opinion of them. I believe she does what she does with a pure heart and good conscience. May she continue to prosper, in Jesus' name.

Just came to this video after reading GoTranscript’s guidelines and taking their practice test just to find out they don’t have jobs (unless I’m not searching the site correctly, I saw a few jobs but they don’t seem to have anything to do with transcription for some reason) But Rev seems like a good place to start. Hopefully they haven’t also changed since the time this video was made.
I have been transcribing for Crowdsurf since last year, I'm in level 5 so I'm qualified to do transcrition, revision and full text review as well as translation. I have only been able to find tasks in Full Text Review and when I go through them it seems like an AI has done the transcription. I'm not completely sure that's the case but I'm finding silly mistakes or whole chunks of text missing that were not there before.
Great video! I applied for Rev on Thursday the 23rd and the email back said the estimated wait time was 4 - 12 weeks. GoTranscript I also applied for and the email said it could take up to 30 days. Happy hunting everyone :)

has anyone tried to take the Scribie test as of recently? it seems like there's never any test files, or they pop up twice per day and disappear instantly
4:45, I signed up for Rev last month February as a freelance transcriptionist and I heard that you need to do a short exam in order to get in Rev, well I applied myself and didn't see any exams and just turned in my application as quickly as possible, but now I've waited about 1 month later on of March as I still haven't gotten any message from them and very soon I'm about seriously quit this side hustle job that I applied to because I can't do anymore of this waiting game they're putting into a wait list.
I did pass CrowdSurf exam with a full mark. Unfortunately they put people on a waiting list now too. I'm in a waiting list now. I doubt they will ever contact me.😅
I'm from Cali and due to laws companies aren't excepting people from here. I know some people that tried to act like they lived in Las Vegas, but that didn't work in some situations for whatever reason. I don't remember.
This is, indeed, very good video. Honest, precise, very clear. I wish every video in Internet would of the same grade. I think you are very correct about the reason why these jobs went down, and 5 months after you made it I believe situation became even worse - the automation in transcription just exploded, and AI is offering comprehensive analysis of meetings in 1/3 time of an actual meeting (i.e. it would analyze 1 hour meeting in just 20 minutes), and it would cost about 20 cents. While companies like Rev and others have their standards and guidelines, it's clear that people would still be needed for these jobs, however, customers tend to go for less in terms of quality for enormous saving. This also means, that you can do more, having AI tools at your disposal, and it, in turn, means that fewer people are needed for the dwindling market. Morale of the story: this particular role is quickly dying, which is unfortunate, but inevitable. Surely new roles will emerge, and I hope you'll be the first to let others know.
I couldn't pass any of the exams except the Rev captioning. It took me like 6 hours to only make $18 total. So it didn't seem worth it to me and at the time everyone was taking all the jobs so fast that you couldn't listen to the samples before they were all taken.
It's true that it takes ages to make any money. One tip for you though if you do decide to continue with Rev, is don't waste too much time listening to files before you select it. Just select one and claim the job, and then you can listen to it before unclaiming it if it is too difficult. You won't get penalized if you unclaim jobs within the time frame.

TranscribeMe! Entrance exam is still closed. You can make an account but the exam won't be available. It has been like this for over a year from what I can tell.

I signed in to Audio Bee but when I went to take the test although I put my password in it doesn't take me through to the website. I did also see a label saying 'invalid site'. I asked if there was a problem by email but haven't had a reply. They don't pay a fortune but I was thinking well it would at least be a stream of income though I couldn't depend on it entirely. I'm looking for things to bolster my pension. I'm a retired secretary but with the modernisation of the world of work there isn't so much demand for skills like shorthand (not pen shorthand anyway).

Do you have suggestions for getting into medical transcription? I used to work in cardiac icu, was also an EMT and went to school for my bsn, so plenty of medical experience. I'm hoping to find work from home so I can stay home with my kids that I'm currently homeschooling for the foreseeable future. I know there's more of a niche for medical but not sure exactly the best way to get started without transcription experience (I am an excellent typer and obviously know medical terminology and used to writing case reports, etc.)

Scribie doesn't even have test files available . Even if they appear they are gone within minutes.
