although she was ill, she always cared for those around her, asking fans to not disturb other patients and to not worry about her. im glad she had people around her who truly loved and cared for and supported her. she always showed us a beautiful performance until her last. in all our hearts she has won the battle.
to summarize what anita said she asked the reporters not to harass other patients in the hospital. She is one of the most respected artists in HK history. Her charisma, grace and proefessionalism is unbeatable and i cant' think of any other artist that can replace or even come close to be like Anita. Her statement was really to come clear to the reporters and media which are such a bane because they kept on perstering Anita and even when Anita was resting in her house there would be a flock of reporters outside waiting for her to come out .. and when Anita finally announced she had cancer she said to the reporters..." i dont know if you are waiting outside for me to die (with a chuckle) or if you really are showing you care .. She said because of what the tabloids said about her health and writing random stories in the media that her fans were all scared and writing letters to Anita .. some didn't even have any sleep. Anita expressed her concern to her fans and asked the reporters that they can continue to follow her and take phtoos of her but not to bother her fans and the patients in the hospital because they are innocent. Anita said she will continue to be professional artist and will have the strength to beat cancer and wants to open concerts. She also mentioned she doesn't want her aging mother to worry too..

為何說輕症最終會變重症?
这种病情没有说为何的，人生是无常的，所以说要珍惜眼前人。
1999年她被检验出肿瘤时， 属于良性肿瘤。由于她家族有遗传病史，所以医生极力劝她接受手术和治疗。她固执己见，不听劝。到了2000/2001年， 肿瘤转化成恶性，她依然不肯接受治疗， 让肿瘤持续恶化。终于在2003年， 病情进入末期，她于同年底黯然离世。
