This tells all that the process of appointing the EC needs to change for the good of the country. The constitution needs to be reformed to ensure the president does not appoint the EC. If an independent body that involves al prominent members in our country - national house of chiefs rep, trade and labour organizations rep, the clergy rep, the Islamic rep and the traditional worship rep- , select the EC, this will help avoid the perception that has gone on since the inception of the fourth republic that the EC always favours the party that appointed its head. Now NDC is calling for a review of the voters register, NPP is against it. Some years back, NPP called for the same review and NDC was against it because at that time, NDC president appointed the EC.
