apologies in advance, I'm not super good with music theory, but i think the transition from what sounds like a gregorian chant style to a more modern (tonal) choral is incredible and very potent

This chant is magnificent by itself. Your arrangement and vocals made it even more sublime. Thank you for this! When is it appropriate for it to be sung in our churches?
It is especially appropriate for the Feast of Christ the King, but you can really sing it any time you want to emphasize the Kingship of Christ and Easter. I know it is traditionally used for the Palm Sunday Procession, and would be appropriate for the other Feasts celebrating the triumphs of Christ such as Pentecost, Christmas, Ascension, Epiphany etc. There are a wide range of opportunities for its use.

Whether or not you accept the papacy, the Bible teaches us to pray for all men, especially for those in authority, and Catholics take this very seriously. 1 Timothy 2:1-2: “I desire therefore, first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all men: For kings, and for all that are in high station: that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all piety and chastity.”

This chant says pop Francis gathering people into one by his teaching and love ! While actually he is supporting that everyone worshipping God by his own way and supporting rainbows and the freedom of sin, this is against our God teachings
