He doesn’t just see his sister as a woman that must live up to gender norms and must do as he says. That whole scene was so touching.
Kuea and Aon compliment each other like, they don't like to be turned down easily.. Very persistent and aggressive with their actions. Why don't they date each other instead? 🙂 And that Than Ar Pattamika and Than Ying Im's love story really got me. Than Chai Anan is the MVP for accepting her baby sister's love for Khun Pin.

It was not that dark, the novel was never that dark it has angst and Kuea was a bad scheming man whose only after the prestige and connections he will got if he marry Lady Pin, because he's an arrogant man who only thinks of himself and what he can get. As for the blackmail by Lady Aon it was never in the novel either, this is something added in the series, Lady Aon was more of a background character throughout the novel and remain as a friend to Princess Anin, but I guess the scriptwriter wanted her character to add more angst and drama on the series. When I read the novel, all I felt was this novel is fluff, romance, comedy and little drama/angst but never that dark that shows SA.
