Visiting Odaiba recently, standing in front of that giant robot, Gundam or whatever it's called, I looked back and had fun trying to determine the exact roof on which they were performing. There were few but I think I got it right.

Being the tiny girl of giant determination, she was trying to carry her piano all the way to the performance, but ended up getting there too late. Those things are heavy, ya know. :D
@@0okamino I choose to believe this story (rather than her getting fitted for invisalign braces, which really did happen at some point). 5th-grader Aiko trying & failing to carry a piano up to the top of that building is my headcanon.
@Soufriere - One revision: She does succeed in carrying the piano all the way up there, just not in time for the performance. :D

Good question. There were four black shirts, so I thought it would be the upcoming graduates wearing them. I see that's not the case, since Marina and Nene are wearing white shirts. So, I don't know either. O.o

Well, the members of this particular group are middle-schoolers, and they don't necessarily take a showbiz career path in their future. And, though society is far less conservative nowadays, the info that someone "in her teens was entertaining old pervs by flashing her underwear from stage" still can harm probably. So their management plays safe, and it's a good thing.

Japan lets office workers die at their desks from exhaustion and high schoolers hang themselves from exam stress. You think they have OSHA? Anyway, that stage is _perfectly safe_ as long as you don't make a mistake. If one _does_ make a mistake, well, clearly the girl wasn't meant to be an Idol. Or a skydiver. I think that's why Aiko is missing. Fell off.
Stage is well forward of the edge of the building. If they fell off the back, it would be at most a 3 foot drop.
