Cute little robot vacuum! Seems to do a fantastic job, and that's a pretty decent runtime considering how long cordless tools usually last for - especially considering it's not easy to move underwater and so the motors have to work a bit harder. Does it have sensors built in that detect when it gets to the pool wall, or does it just use the resistance against movement to do the same job? Also, is the movment completely random? Every grass cutting robot I've seen has random movements inside the designated area, which can mean the same parts get cut over and over and it misses entire sections.

Definitely random movement. Have to assume the direction changes have to do with the little flaggy thing on the top. There are a couple of times in the time lapse when it looks like it reverses in the middle of the pool.
