Gorgeous dress and perfect for my body type! I'm a beginner sewer and I hope I can master this. Thank you for this tutorial and for sharing your knowledge
Thanks for the good work. If I'm adding sleeves to the armhole, do I still need to come down by 2" from the neckline like you did here. I did something like this but was very choking on the neckline and the armhole was very tight after the sleeves
Beautiful tutorials sister Cynthia you are really blessed. The way u explain everything is so wonderful. Iam always looking forward to ur lovely tutorials every day well done madam!!!
thanks ma'am. the neck band explanation is alot easier here. however, what if it's a long hand dress, how do I cut it without altering the shoulder. thank you
Thanks for your beautiful video, please I have a big request ma, can you please do a video on how to put zipper in a dress and skirt? I made a dress for the first time and I spent almost 3 hours trying to put the zipper on it. Plus couldn't find a good video on UA-cam to help me. At the end of the day I sew the zipper like 6 different times before getting it to look nice small. I will really appreciate your help ma.
Good job ma, why did you divide 19 by 6.28 to give 3 inches . I gues s when it opened it gives 12 which won't go round for 19. kindly correct me if wrong.thanks
I am just learning to sew and stumbled across your channel. I must say, thank you for your tutorials, I decided to give the skater dress a go ( my first big project) needless to say for a newbie I was proud of myself thanks to your tutorial. I am a subscriber now and can’t wait to what next you have created
Thanks for the great work and your teaching, you make it easy for me to understand. I appreciate. But if I want to make for a three year old daughter, what will be the width of the neck and the Dept of the neck for both front and back
patience ejem Thanks for watching, you can make it 3 inches for the width and 2 inches for the depth and you can make the back 3 inches width and 1 inch depth.
I can't stop watching this tutorial. The material is so beautiful. But I am still not confident enough to try it. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you Cynthia.
I followed the instructions of this tutorial to make this dress. I have watched this video more than 10x, the tutorial measurement is my exact measurement but I am still missing something with the flared cut it didn’t go around my waist. I folded the fabric into two and folded it again but I still can’t figure what I am doing wrong. Any help please.
Comfort Agbahowe Divide your waist measurement into 2 and divide what ever you get by 6.28. Don’t round whatever you get down, always round it up to cut out the circle. Hope this hope.

Ijeoma Richards When you divide your waist measurement by 2, divide whatever you get by 6.28 .Please don’t round it down because your flared will be short, always round it up to up I order to get a wider flare. It’s better to have it more than to have it less.
Thanks ma God bless you. Please ma how many yards of fabric did you use? Because I used 6 yards to make a maxi circle dress I make the lent 66 it's a very long gown but the flear is not scattered. I don't know why. Please ma reply me.
hello, thank you for posting your tutorials. I wanted to attempt making a skater dress bases in your tutorial, however I did not understand how you did the top. Did you take 1 meter from the 3 meters to cut the top then the remaining 2 meters for the skirt of the dress? Thanks in advance for you reply
Did you place selveredges on either side before folding the cone? I wasn't sure I got that part clearly. As always your explanations were great. Thank you.
Weldon ma,i have watched almost all your videos and they are all helpful.my question is in yourr previous video of a skater neck,u removed 1 from d neck and 1 from d arm hole, then u fixed d colar, but in this 1 u removed 2 and cut it out..i am confused...whc 1 is perfect?
Mary Dickerson yes you can use any part of the body. Like the upper part, if the bust measurement is the biggest part of the body, you can then use the bust.
If u are cutting the upper part first...ur round of burst point is the highest....if u are also cutting the down part ...ur hips measure is the highest part....but if ur cutting a straight gown....ur hips measurement is the highest no u would fold ur material for...i.e...if ur hips is 40÷ 4 plus sewing allowance
Beautiful dress, and I really wanted to make it, but I found the beginning part where you whipped through the math too difficult to follow. i mean the bit were you were talking about adding 24 to something? Thanks!
God bless you for all this Ma'am! I followed all the directions to detail and discovered my lower part after joining was just enough to cover the frontal part! Could it be there was a mistake in the 3inch we arrived at?
Hello ma’am Please I don’t understand how you cut out the front and back fabric. Will I share the three meter fabric into two before cutting front and back
