What he said about the reverb is a good point. Routing every sound to the same reverb makes the music sound like it was all recorded in the same space, like a band.
But if you want differnt reverbs set at differnt signals thats no good for you ...
@@famellies--313-Beatmaker most hip-hop placements nowadays seem to have all the drums sent to 1 bus at most or else it's a nightmare for the mixing/mastering engineer
@@audemarsnolooseends not with that one bus channel having reverb on it .I studied sound engineering and I mix and master peoples music for a living mate so let's not go there as i can go on for days and I really cant be bothered but I'm telling you if they do send everything to one bus channel they wouldnt run everything into the exact same reverb bro ..that's 100 percent facts .

@@famellies--313-Beatmaker All I know is that a platinum producer said he routed all the sounds to the same reverb because using different reverbs muddies up the mix. He said normally he doesn’t but this beat was one of his best mixes ever. He said don’t over think it because it’s not rocket science. Evidently he knows what he’s talking about.

dope!! 🔥very true, for myself cranking signal in digital has limitations and nasty distortion. i needed hardware converters, console, outboard inserts, etc
uad: pa , acustica plugs get very close to hardware , but still lack that 2-5 %! analog feels like floating on a big warm pillow! adding depth and roundness and there is a difference, id be interested to hear a comparison! in any case i lost interest in loudness nowadays, but not punch and clarity , thanks man!!

Damn them 808s were knocking at the end of the video, sick end result!!!! He is exactly right when it comes to spacing in the beat, sometimes you have to turn down certain drum parts or melodic parts to make everything have the right gain staging, which results in a cleaner louder sounding beat.

Doesn't matter the software but people choose Fl or Logic cause it's very user friendly. But Reason gives a crispier master sound and you can do more, it's not quick as Fl so alot of people don't mess with.

They right about the end result as far as the drums...but first dragging in no processing they hit harder in fl because for some reason bit depth/ sample rate doesn’t matter in FL, logic it does

I've been making beatz 4 like 25yrs now. The 1st program I used was pro-tools, dr. Rex, re-drum etc. Keyboards are fire also, but I LOVEEE FLSTUDIO

3rd comment but I also was inspired Nas and K west I started making beats in 05 Nas I am, and K west Late Registration, Also by Dre and 2pac albums. By 07 and 08 I was focusing on UK grime and UK Hip Hop Rappers.

Deecap (drums that knock) did an excellent demystifying video on why the drums hit different in FL. Check it out!
True… if you import audio files directly in bypassing any samplers. However, all programs “audio engines” the same code basically and are created by 0s and 1s. When you add samples into samplers that’s when the sound gets effected because the sample is being processed through a different set of 0s and 1s code before it hits timeline. For instance all compressors are not the same. If you put a waves compressor on a kick, it will change the sound without doing anything in the compressor because now that kick is being processed through a totally different algorithm. Ya feel me.. So is not the actual program of FL that is making the sound better, it just has sampler (Patten bank) that keep the sound more intact. Trust me I’ve used them all and when processing samples through samplers, FL has the best IMO
