Citizens Police Academy

Serve your community by joining the Spring 2024 class of the Citizen Police Academy! This free educational program is designed to foster lasting relationships between participants and the Columbus Division of Police. For 13 weeks, every Wednesday from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm, learn the values, philosophies, and operations of the Division while sharing your ideas and assisting the CDP in reducing crime and achieving the best police service in the city of Columbus.
Members of the academy will also gain insight into the “ABCs” of policing, the true function of patrol officers, the laws of arrest, and several other law enforcement fundamentals.
The Spring sessions will begin on February 21, 2024 and conclude on May 15, 2024. Participants who miss more than three session dates will not receive a certificate.
