It’s sung in F.
It is transposed because the singer cannit sing the original high notes
@@glenngouldschair390 I don't want to argue, but I really don't think the legendary Fischer-Dieskau couldn't sing a high F. (Listen to his Count Almaviva aria, where he sustains a high F#, it's great)

For some reason, the comment section is full of Korean high schoolers who are complaining about that they have to sing it as an examination. Such a shame that they cannot appreciate this beautiful and heart-touching melody and German lyrics.

Dieses Stück habe ich auf der Goldhochzeit meiner Eltern gesungen. Der Text ist so wunderbar! Diese Interpretation von Herrn Fischer-Dieskau ist so herrlich gefühlvoll!
+Burkhard Terhart Leider bin ich kein Tenor aber ich habe einmal diese Platte mit Fischer- Dieskau von einer Freudin bekommen. Ich werde es nie vergessen!

the song my late grandmother, who passed away almost two years ago (february 2015), used to play this on the piano and sang for my grandfather, who passed away 15 years earlier than her, when i hear this song, i think of her, and I miss her/them, rest in peace bommama (dutch/flemish word), you are being missed by many ! Both died of that horrible unfair disease, cancer ! :(

Singing is lower than the score
Probably the uploader of the video had foömed had just the high-voice edition he had at hand, when he filmed it alongside the recording of Dietrich Fischer Dieskau, who naturally would have used the low-voice esition for baritone, when he made his recording !
The uploader might have been not aware, that there are various editions for different voice registers available !
the song voice is 1 octave too low
that is how the tenor voice is notated - always written 1 octave above actual sounding pitch (it's just a convention)
