I sent the detonation from the finals to my clan, to show them that we're sort of taking this more serious than the KOTS teams, cause our Clan Leader always goes like 'Does everyone have their detonation flags?'... but among all those stellar plays, it was actually the last seconds with Painezor that made me crack up hard. Thank you for the compilation. And thank you Painezor for being the BEST googly eye derpy boi to make my day. XD
KotS makes me happy and sad at the same time. Happy cause of those beautifully synced moments (like 14:40), and sad cause I could never be capable of pulling them off.
Well, it just takes a lot of time and practice. Those players are very talented, but a huge difference is also their dedication to the game. Not everyone can afford it. :)

Exactly the reason why I always have anxiety when there is KotS. The clips are not as entertaining yet they take more effort to compile. But it's kind of a tradition at this point. KotS is important for many. :)

You have a base detection range. Even if you don't fire, if someone is inside your detection range, you will be detected. If you shoot, your detection range becomes the same as the range of your guns for 15 seconds.

Not since they buffed the HE mitigation on DDs, to the point where it would take 10 salvos to kill one FROM A Des Moines/ Salem.
Detonation is hard to understand. A few days ago, I detonated a Halland in my Shima with one non-pen hit. You just don't understand how this game works sometimes LOL
afaik you are more likely to detonate when the HP of your ammo racks (ship components have hp) gets lower, starting at 75% with the calculation happening after the impact damage. At some point it was bugged where you ahd the highest chance of detonating at maximum hp. Hitting with shells or torpedoes under the turrets does the most damage to the ammo compartments, so for a detonation you should hit there (I think yuro had a CV vid on sniping ships there with the japanese torp bombers or something) The whole detonation thing is a chance thing with additional dice thrown in for more random, so no real counting on it.

HE splash damage can detonate ships as well as decap
It's basically what the Bismarck did to the Hood with one lucky shot
