Tip : For any Knitting ! Your better doing a Swatch Gauge eg x30 Sitches over x20 Rows on Waste Yarn at both Ends. Remove from Machine. (Or from Needles.) Stretch St's until it's Fabric. Then get some long Sewing Metal Pins. Pin a Square (Say over required Yarn Band Label Specification re Tension.) It measuring say Inches (") or Centimeters (cm) And then you can get True Length Measurement as per Yarn to advised Band Label Guage Size. That way your Clothing will be the correct Size. Nice and easy. And no Tears are cried after Hours of work ! 😉 Just saying. Happy Knitting or Cranking that Handle !
I really like this project. It is something I would wear. You did an amazing job. I have purchased a knitter machine finally after debating about it for a while. I am a knitter and crocheter. I like the Tunisian style of crochet it very very easy. This machine gives the look of Tunisian style. Now I won't have to have sore hands and shoulders while creating a project. Whoever made the knitter machine is a genius!. I will be watching more of your videos I am learning so much.
You have inspired me! I had dismissed the idea of even buying a newer knitting machine (I have an old really long one, sooo frustrating) but now I'm considering it again. CC
❤❤❤ I am sooooooo excited to tell you that I have started using my King size Addi Machine!!! I'm doing my hubby a cardigan. I just completed the 1st sleeve. Thank you for all your tips and advise and clear instructions. ❤❤❤❤❤
Hey I totally appreciate you being transparent with your process including the missteps. It shows us also how to problem solve while we work and what questions we can ask ourselves too. Also new fan/follower here getting my first Sentro machine soon.
Thanks for watching and the feedback. I always make mistakes and totally think it's important to share that side of things when I can for sure. I can't wait to hear what you will be making on your machine! Are you thinking clothing focus or more like stuffies?
I love the cardigan. You make it look do easy. I am a newsubscriber. I really like your video, because you do show mistakes and how to fix them. Have a terrific week.
Hi I saw this video pop up and watched it so now I’m a new subscriber to your channel after watching this video. I bought a sentro knitting machine last year and haven’t made a thing on it yet. That’s why I decided to join your channel. 😊
I have been kicking around the idea of getting one of these knitting machines. Your sweater looked really cool, but I’m curious about what the top of the back looks like when you wear it. I’m going to try this, knitting by hand. But your video has given me confidence to go ahead and purchase the knitting machine!🙂
The top of this style is like a loose rolled hem but if I was making another one, I would add a crochet finish (or knitting if I learned to do that) so it looks cleaner. For my first one, there are many things I would change. hahah If you already knit, there are so so many ways you can customize your pieces had finish nicely.
I love layering too as I am always cold. I am going to try to make one fore sure. Thanks so much for sharing. I haven’t used scrap yarn for casting on and off but now I see the benefits of doing so. Will try that too. ❤
I loved the sweater!!! and adding the crochet hem at the bottom was something I would also do...I can also repeat that along the front edges of the sweater...and even add buttons if I wanted...great video!!
@@thecraftygrrl Not nearly as pretty as yours, but I've already received two compliments while out. drive.google.com/file/d/1jb0nvzXATO7CH03MHYspnPlNjblwAtU7/view?usp=share_link
@@thecraftygrrl Bernat Baby Velvet. The Addi loves it and I haven't had any issues with skipped stitches or anything. Also, it's extremely soft and warm. Thanks again for your videos - finding them to be very helpful for a "newbie" like me.
There are so many cool things you can make for sure! I've made way cooler pieces after this video which was one of the first I did on the knitting machine.
Just found your channel. Love love you. You demo easily and understandable. I subscribed and will learn this along with you and others. Your best turned out beautiful and happy for you that it did !! Blessings ❤
Thank you so much!!! That really means a lot to me. I never know if I'm being effective or going at the right speed so I very much appreciate the feedback!
also if you iron the bottom edge you will have a flat edge if you choose not to finish it with crochet or ribbing. lightly iron the edge don't " smash" it with too much heat or weight as you iron it. It came out nice!
Awesome job cool idea! I have a question. What should I do when I drop a stitch or few? I keep starting over and once I decide to sew it in and ignore one just to make my first hat but I doubt I can always do that. I bought one for my mom and I for Christmas. My mom knows how to crochet one zigzag pattern but lately she keeps dropping stitches and it’s not lining up which this upsets her, so I was hoping this device would help. I want to make one too ! Thank you
First of all, if it is dropping that many stitches, it is probably the yarn. These machines are very picky about which kind of yarn you can use without a headache. I have so much luck with Caron Simply Soft brand and any of the yarn made for babies. Also, once you learn to fix dropped stitches, it's no big deal and you can use that concept to make cool details as you get more advanced. Here's a quick video on fixing dropped stitches here: ua-cam.com/users/shortsczchllsRr9Y
You know, it doesn't. It's actually really soothing. The only problem is that my left arm gets neglected so sometimes I take a 3 pound weight and hold it in my left hand with my yarn to even out the workout. hahah
It depends on the size you are looking for. I find the Pound of Love yarn skeins is plenty for xs-medium but really just depends on your tension and size.

Yes, I made many hats, scarves, mittens. And a very long cardigan. And a few other cardigans. Also a queen size bedspread. All my own designs and tryouts. Not perfect. Thanks for the video. Nice cardigan. The yarn I used was very difficult. Lots of twisted stitches. 😍

Would you recommend blocking the knitted pieces before joining them together? Or isn't that needed with acrylic yard?
With the acrylic yarns I mostly use I don't do any blocking and it seems fine but for wools I probably would.
What is the difference between a sleeveless cardigan and a vest?

If you could make a garment using a lighter color I could see what you are trying to show the black is like looking at nothing.
