- Introduction to our emigration process video. We started the emigration about 2 years ago and we lived in limbo for a long time until immigration finally contacted us and said they are ready for our passports for us to start our journey.
In this video I detail where we are moving to and I answer all the other frequently asked questions I get when I tell people we are moving out of South Africa.

Bethatasitmay, I wish you and Ian...and the cats 🤗 all the best. I support your move. Why? Because we are supporting our son who turns 30 soon, and currently working on cruise ships, who also has CA in his vision to emigrate to. But nothing started yet.
Listening to your video, I thought of this couple I transferred to the airport last year 28 December, from Kommetjie, also with 2 cats, to CA. I am in the shuttle/touring business. They left for Vancouver.
My wife's nephew "emigrated" about 3½ years ago to Nova Scota, specifically Halifax.

Thanks for the reminder. At the time of the application I had just turned 29 and Ian was 28. I am the principal applicant. Currently we are both 30.

So many leaving SA and so many returning from everywhere in the world. Grass is not greener so think carefully before uprooting your family only to want to return months and years after leaving - I know
We didn't move because we think the grass is greener. We moved because the grass is different and we wanted to experience it. I also think it's fine to move and move back if we so choose to. This is a beautiful adventure for me and my family and we aren't trees - so it's okay for us to move and explore.
