If a band that’s been around that long didn’t play any of their hits nobody would ever come see them. They aren’t relevant anymore, and that’s ok. They came out of a very niche scene to begin with and now they just returned to it
I'll never hate on somebody for doing local commercials. There is something cool about staying close to where you are from and sharing your celebrity with them.
Just like Morrissey. They helped me out but they turned into wankers. Cogran is more Lou Reed ish in that he'll go either way. Moz is just a crashing bore.
At best, Billy is a musical genius with a fire in his heart that just kept roaring throughout the years. At worst, he was a control freak isolated in a bubble he refused to leave even at the cost of his bandmates.
I and other 70ish people met him in Milan back in 2005, he actually organized the meeting. He played a few songs and answered all of our questions, shook hands and signed autographs, allowed videos. He only strictly asked not to pose with him for pics. Chillest dude ever.
Based on many many interviews and articles and people's own interactions, it seems Billy is very dynamic. He can do very nice things and also express himself without regard for the consequences.
@@caiusmadison2996 he's definitely a narcissist but he's earned it. He's a very different person today than 30 years ago. But he's always enjoyed playing a heel and keeping people guessing. He's starting to get over that now with kids, and now getting married, and his recent confession that he's still very much a Jesus freak just not in the way people really think he is. A very very complicated person and antihero (though he hates that term) and that's one of the reasons I love him.
@@caiusmadison2996 that idiotic word was overused to the point that it was removed as a disorder. It’s such a lazy armchair psychologist diagnosis that isn’t valid 99% of the time.
Some narcissism is healthy, ie ego vs id. But it’s a derogatorily overused term, alluding to the accused as being something monstrous. I’d say that Billy is more of a beloved beast than an atrocious menace; he’s smashingly talented, however overbearingly so!
He’s a legitimately awful person. No joke. He wrote some excellent tunes early on, but he is not such a genius that it is okay that he treats others like garbage.
I was born in Chicago, one of the best things I remember about it was the Vienna Chicago Hot Dog take outs. I would've loved to see him do a commercial for them.
There are tons of reasons to give Corgan crap. Him supporting hometown/local businesses and organizations isn’t one of there. That’s probably one of the few redeeming stories I’ve heard about him. One of my favorite Love quotes is when she said that the song was about a guy she hexed and his hair fell out then kicked into Violet.
It's a bit goofy and uncool but there's no law against being goofy and uncool. He's right wing conspiracy theory nut Infowars nutjob now, that's reason enough to laugh at him, that and his insufferable arrogance.
@Jeffery Tornado the 3rd a crackhead, hate crime loving conspiracy theorist being your shining example of character doesn't surprise me of your ilk. Corgan is in no way like Jones lmao
And probably the ONLY person that Corgan regrets messing with. But honestly doesn't sound like he was raised right. Needed a switch on that ass at the proper time.
Billy’s earliest feud was with my brother in 3rd grade at Hall Elementary school. Immortalized by my brother writing over Billy’s picture in the 3rd grade yearbook a slur that he did not learn from his older brother. Later we became the cool kids.
The funny part about the furniture commercial one is I bet that had as much to do about Billy promoting his wrestling as it did about selling furniture.
I live just outside Chicago, and I've visited his tea shop, Madame Zuzu's plenty of times. I've never spoken to him, but I've seen him there on plenty of occasions. Despite Smashing Pumpkins playing a pretty important role in my life, he's always seemed incredibly busy or with his family, so it just never felt right. It was enough for me just to be hanging out in the area. Most of the time I see him ordering from his own place, chatting up locals, being a very nice person. After the tragedy that struck Highland Park, the town where Madame Zuzu's is at, he went right to work with charity work to help the town. He could have chosen to build some cash-in franchise style restaurant in the heart of the city like Michael Jordan, Mike Ditka, Jimmy Buffet, etc, etc. He could have cashed in on HIS name for himself. But he chose to build a small little shop that helped build up a community. I'm sure he could easily do both and it wouldn't be an issue- but the point is he could have just chosen to NOT do any of that. But he supports local artists by USING his name to get people to check out bands/singers/artists that others might just walk right on past. I don't doubt that Billy Corgan has probably ruffled some feathers in the past, but to me he seems like quite the class act.
My cousin told me he saw Blind Melon open for Smashing Pumpkins before Blind Melon was popular. People were yelling for them to play more songs. Smashing Pumpkins got on stage and he said Billy was furious telling them "You came to see me not that fucking band." I guess he went off a few times during their set.
Wow . Billy is quite the snowflake ❄️ Ive come to find. How lame. I love the music for sure, but cant stand the guy either. Im also not a rockstar but if ai was Id feel the same. Id Avoid him as much as possible.
Wow thanks for reminding me about Collective Soul. Never knew the name of their band but knew their songs, really well. So much nostalgia from the 90s. Really good band they were one of the few rock radio bands I could tololerate
Shine from Collective Soul was created as an influence from the sound of Kings X, as much as Billy wants to claim it as his own. And I'm an SP fan through and through
I'm not a "fan" of Pumkins but I saw them live at glasto think it was 97, best live band I've ever seen. I'm still in love with the bassist, never seen her since don't know her name.
I wouldn't call what he's done in terms of calling out artists as "standing up for yourself". Dissing a band because they choose to play some more popular, older, maybe even more "radio friendly" songs? get a grip. has this dude never been to a concert??
@@aidan673 Especially when the other artists are way better. Corgan sucks on vocals and guitar. Never understood what people like about that crappy band.
There is an old video of Adam the Woo(who is travel vlogger) ran into Billy at a very obscure place. Billy seemed like a nice guy. He even bought Adam lunch and hung out with him for awhile
Billy Corgan was a member of The Marked in St Petersburg Florida in the mid-1980s. If you were alternative. this means that you were not a mainstream corporate tool. I am alternative and from what I have read and heard he seems to have stayed true to his values.
Yep I remembere Adam The Woo Video too. It was a town in Texas where they both talked about a nefarious tree in the county seat courtyard. That was when Billy was doing his "30 Days" road trip back in 2017 where he took a road trip around the US for 30 days, visiting small towns and historical music spots (like Clarksdale, MS for example). I quite enjoyed seeing two different worlds of things I enjoy (Pumpkins and Adam The woo) coming together.

I've been a fan of the pumpkins for a long time, and I don't take what they say in the press seriously. They're pretty open about the fact that creating the appearance of drama, even when there isn't any, was always in the plans for the band. They also purposefully give different answers to the same questions, sometimes contradicting themselves, as a joke.
The band always cared about the fans first and foremost. I remember that Corgan, on behalf of the band, used to have a communication line open to talk to fan clubs and such... the whole release of "Machina II" was the band spitting in the media, label and giving a 4-disc release for free to acquaintances authorized to make copies, upload on the Internet and such...
From what I've heard everyone loved Cornell. Haven't seen another musician talk shit about him... granted I haven't looked. Corgan seems pretty egotistical.
He reminds me of a few friends of mine from way back, conceited yet usually friendly that is until they have either a professional dispute or someone eats their ice cream they wrote their name on in the fridge.
long story short she had some demons and while she was talented, it gets irritating as fuk watching an opiate addict co worker nod off and fade out while your supposed to be working/performing.
unfortunatly he wrote the songs he wrote the music they dont get royalties i think billy is a selfish dick but truth is he wrote the music to the smashing pumpkins nothing proves a band members talent like where they go after they break up. the beatles had three song writters all three had hits after the break up. the pumpkins have one somg writter the rest are just backing members
I don't know Billy Corgan personally, so I cannot state what he's like personally other than what I've seen since I was a teenager in high school (44 now....) Many great artists are eccentric and can come off as rude, but fact is there is always another side of the story and context which quotes from people that have had negative run ins with him doesn't really tell the whole story. I'm just thankful for the music he's made over the years.
Low key, this post is a cope. You can't have this many negative accounts from regular people, bandmates, and fellow rockstars, including outright feuds with people and just chalk it up to "there are two sides of the story". Corgan probably *isn't* the bad guy in every dispute, but especially *given the history of his own freakin' band* at the minimum, he's conflict-prone.
@@cjaquilino Personally I just care about the music. I don't waste much on the drama or psychoanalysis. Also coping is something everyone does every day. Gonna have to pick another buzzword. If one spends more time criticizing the artist than the work there is something amiss. Like get outside & touch some grass. Low key, you're someone with very little life experience.
I've loved Billy since I was about 14, he's a masterful musician and brilliant songwriter. He's been in the music business for decades and never had a sex scandal, drug or rehab scandal, has always been gracious to his fans and is a devoted father and husband. He took his little boy on stage and asked the crowd to sing happy birthday to him, that was so touching. What he doesn't flaunt in everyone's faces is all the charity work he's done and shows he's done for charity that he didn't boast about. He's a good person and he's got balls of steel. Lots of people thought they could bully him and push him around and that's why he had to be a dick sometimes, same with Thom York, he had to stand his ground and I respect that. If you don't think he's a genius listen to Starla. If you don't like his music it's cause all you've heard is the hits.
He’s honest. And mostly right with his points. I’m not even that much of a fan. But he doesn’t filter his thoughts. Hence why people think he’s arrogant. I find it liberating.
No fued but fun fact: Corgan was in a band with Wayne Static called Deep Blue Dream prior to Static-x. Corgan quit because he was splitting time also fronting the Pumpkins and decided to focus on that. Crazy how the world works. I like to talk about Wayne anytime I can lol
I loved Static-x, I still love them, I will ALWAYS love them. They've been my favorite since I was 14 when I 1st heard them in '99. Excited for the album coming out late this year!! No shame in my evil disco game lol. I guess I was a nu metal kid.
@@lluewhyn Right, was that released the year before? I remember "Live to Rise" was a hit and it was absolutely not a secret the band were working on a new album. They were even thinking of putting the song on the album but they didn't and surprise surprise the album was actually great UNLIKE THE LATE SMASHING PUMPKINS MATERIAL. I know they're releasing 33 songs this year and Billy is doing a podcast about it but the band have been a bit squiffy since Machina.
@@GrantValdes Yep and it all runs the gamut of garbage to mediocre! I tried so hard to enjoy anything after Zeitgeist (which was average) and it's just crap. Thankfully Billy being an awful person has made it easy to move on.

I saw the pumpkins on lollapalooza in 94 and loved hearing Gish and Siamese Dream! Both records are pure HEAVEN! Billy, James, Darcy, and Jimmy doesn’t get better than that! I’m not gonna lie: I REALLY MISS DARCY BEING IN THIS BAND 💔
Best part of the video - 1:50 Pumpkins start playing Shine & the whole crowd cheers & starts singing along. Then the band abruptly stops. Billy says "i hate that song" & all the fans start cheering for that sentiment as if they weren't just excited to hear Pumpkins cover a 90's classic. i guess you can get people to cheer for anything with a big enough speaker system.
One of the latest funniest Billy Corganisms that happened was when Corgan was being interviewed by Rick Beato on UA-cam and somehow STILL was able to be pissed at Cobain after he's been dead for 30 years. hahahaha.
I've watched some of Beato's interviews, and he usually gets a good conversation out of some normally prickly people, probably because he's such a good musician himself. For example, the Maynard (who can sometimes be really difficult) interview was really good because they'd talk about things like the distinctive sound of the Fairlight keyboard, something you *know* would never get discussed by an interviewer from Rolling Stone or wherever. I still couldn't bring myself to watch the Billy Corgan interview since he can easily become a douche for no reason.
@@lluewhyn You dodged a bullet, in that particular interview he was suuuuper extra douchey. I was cringing the whole time. "He stole my guitar sound!" How old is he to still bitch about petty stuff like that.
I was quite enjoying that interview initially, and it seemed Billy was on his best behavior for awhile. Then at some point he flips the ego switch and everything changed. And I'm like, "oh right! This is the obnoxious cringe Billy Corgan I remember."
I met Billy Corgan at the Club Soda in Kalamazoo MI after they played the State Theater with Pearl Jam and RHCP. Amazing show, and the whole gaggle of people went to the Soda to party after the show. He was standing next to the bar with his arms crossed (dude is TALL, if you haven't ever met him). I wanted to tell him how much I loved Gish and what I thought of him as a performer and he just yelled at me "Yeah, Man - whatever." I understand that he gets a lot of "fan-boy" shit from people like me, but if you don't like it, then why go out looking for it?" He's an a*^%ole. I'd much rather hang out with James Iha and/or Butch Vig.
…and it's not an excuse for any of the bad things he may have done. There, I finished that sentence for you. Hate this idea that having so called "genius" is something that should let people get away with treating people badly. He’s likely done good and bad, like any of the rest of us.
@@delilahsimmons1842 Right? And I didn’t even touch on how “genius” itself is a mythology and it’s usually a label disproportionately applied to only certain men.
A ton of my friends grew up in the late 80s and early 90s Chicago music scene. One of them actually lived with D'Arcy at one point. I personally never met Corgan, but to this day, not a single person I know who knew him back then has anything good to say. My favorite gem, said to my friend after she rejected Billy by mentioning she was at the show with her boyfriend: "Do you want to go home with him, or do you want to go home with a rockstar?" Keep in mind, this was when they were playing 100 seat venues.
I just remember a quote from about 15 years ago or so when a fan was trying to flirt with him or something after a Cleveland show and he made a response in disgust like "I've never fucked a girl in a bandana before". He would have been around 40 or so at the time, still trying to live that rockstar life.

He then tries to force his hands down on them for sex. They refuse. billy gets mad then threats them. crazy!
He got along good with Eddie Van Halen.... Even recorded a couple albums at the 5150 studio ... But Ed's one of the hardest guys in music to get along with when he was here ... So thats probably why! Lol
Eddie probably liked Billy because Billy is lo-key an insane guitarist. Eddie probably got stunned by some Corgan shredding behind the scenes and decided this guys alright. I am not a Pumpkins fanatic, but I did once meet Corgan in a vintage guitar store in Las Vegas and got to talk to him a little bit. He was awesome to me in that moment, but I could see that ego-twinkle in his eye.

We knew him in Chicago. He's always been crotchety. He's was an old, grouchy man in his teens! lol But he was creative af. I haven't seen him in 35 years!
I have heard he’s a much nicer guy these days. Maybe part of it is because he became a Dad? 🤷🏻♂️🤔 Plus, he’s answered some of my questions on Instagram and I felt they were cordial responses.
I remember back in the 90's when grunge and other alt. bands were all the rage, I was giving my teen brother and his friend a ride to some restaurant they wanted to be dropped off at. We were listening to the radio, and my brothers friend asked me. "You like Smashing Pumpkins?" I said, only on Halloween.
Oh geez, are you related to my dad? I remember back in the 90s, we were outside listening to the radio and my older sister saying something like “I like Smashing Pumpkins” and our dad saying something like “well, they _are_ just cheap Halloween decorations.” My sister tried going on this long explanation about them being a band and him being old … but he cut it short and made it known that he definitely knew and didn’t care for them lol.
@@TwoBs Ha, I like it. I remember thinking, never have I been so witty. Enough so that I always remembered that little quip. But truly, it was a very dad joke thing for a teen to say.
1994 Lollapalooza. I was really looking forward to seeing Smashing Pumpkins. I really enjoyed the studio work done on Gish and Siamese Dream. Not sure if it was Billy, the band, or the sound crew, but most of the crowd tuned out after the second song. Nothing sounded good. What was produced in the studio was hard to imagine that was who was on stage that night. Billy started yelling at the crowd. "FU." "If you haven't noticed, we are the number one band in the world." The crowd went from disinterested, to booing the band off the stage. It got so crazy. The crowd wouldn't let up after Billy fueled the fire with slurs of how horrible the audience was. Billy and the band walked off the stage. Ten minutes later the band came back to play a few more songs and call it a night. I felt bad for them. Some nights things just aren't going right. Rising to the top at that fast of a pace can take a toll. Billy and Chamberlin hardly spoke to each other. Depression, alcohol, drugs; none of that really helps that much. It just lets time go by without a flinch.
@Arlene M. his voice has become borderline unbearable for me after Machina. He has never been a good singer, but in the early days he absolutely compensated for that being a fantastic performer. Now it's all just mid-energy, emotionless routine singalong to my ears. And waaaaay too up front in the mix. Obviously because he is doing his own mixing ...
I had the same experience at the Gorge in Washington at lollapalooza. He complained about people not being into it enough. Of course, when you headline a show after beastie boys and Green Day it’s going to be tough. I never had the same outlook of smashing pumpkins which sucks because Siamese dream and Gish were epic Albums.
I worked at the Pumpkins label. He sure had them jumping whenever he snapped his finger. Watching the old music execs kiss this kid’s ass was a thing of beauty. He could be as difficult as he wanted to… Because he was Billy. 😹😹😹
It’s tough to figure the man out. He’s constantly ruffling feathers, but his responses are so damn poetic and beautifully thought out. He’s at the least, clearly, an ego maniac
Nobody looks at Smashing Pumpkins as a current ongoing group, making new relevant music. For most of us that listen to them it’s the era from the basement jam sessions to Adore that we really reminisce on and want to hear songs from and to be honest it’s really the Siamese Dream/Mellon Collie era songs that people really want to hear and there’s nothing wrong with that. Billy’s self-importance has always been the curse of this band and Jimmy ‘s always been the musical backbone. Billy is one of my favorite songwriters of all time and I’ve always loved his distinct voice, but the man should just let the music speak for itself and stop alienating people and try considering his bandmates as equals for once.
No, he doesn't. I don't doubt they sell out the venues NWA shows are at. However, if you watch the shows, they are not typically in arenas. They are in small venues.
Selling out arenas is a sign of popularity-not of quality. Small venues are the best way to see a band, and the ones popular enough to sell out arenas are mostly crap. IMAO
I don't see how you could cover the Soundgarden/Corgan feud without mentioning Spin magazine's April 1994 cover story on Soundgarden, in which Kim Thayil and Billy Corgan get pretty pissy with each other. Choice quote: "You hurt me deeply in my heart."
A few years back Corgan was in Pittsburgh I assume for a show. At the same time I attended our local VegFest and he was also there. There was a few pics of him chowing down on some avocado pudding I believe. Smashing Pumpkins were playing Edgefest or some music festival we had going on, and my buddy's brother went over very nicely and said "hey Billy, I'm a huge fan - would you mind if I got your autograph?" and apparently Billy just gave him an exasperated laugh, brushed him aside and walked off. An hour or so later, still at the mall, he sees Billy with a group of young girls signing all these autographs and being flirty and is justifiably hurt. This guy never got pissed about anything, but he walks by and as he's walking he shouts "HEY, FUCK YOU BILLY CORGAN!" and embarrasses Billy in front of the girls. The feud between Soundgarden.amd.the Pumpkins goes back to the 90's. There's a Spin article from the 94 in which Billy annoyed the hell out of Kim Thayil and got chewed out for it. Billy's initial reaction was reaction, but then the pumpkins played a killer set right after. Billy is one of the most annoying rock stars of that era, but Gosh and Siamese Dream are so killer
Jimmy is great but Billy use to have major talent back when he was Influenced by Jimmy Hendrix, Led zeppelin and Thin Lizzy now he tries to hard to be like Depeche mode or black sabbath and it just comes out sounding really lame with no sense of melody or talent in any way he wont even let Jimmy play to his strengths on records any more.

Very few artists can keep it together when they become super famous. Billy seems to have good qualities and bad, same as most of us.
At best, Billy is a musical genius with a fire in his heart that just kept roaring throughout the years. At worst, he was a control freak isolated in a bubble he refused to leave even at the cost of his bandmates.
It proves that the spotlight is a magnifying glass. Every single trait is magnified.

Funny their new album says otherwise!!
Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie are masterpieces, Gish is a bit meh and the the rest is turd
@@jacksmith4460 I'm 58, and I support this message.
@@jacksmith4460gish is arguably as great as siamese dream. melancholie is MEH
I cant think of any band from the early 90s that are considered an ongoing group making new relevant music
There's also some guys in the wrestling world who are not fans of his ownership of NWA, but the dude is still a genius who sells out arenas.
I think you got that wrong NWA is the rap group behind Fuck Tha Police.
@@MultiUnreal there was a wrestling organization called NWA way before the rap group
IMAO
Seems to be a connection that BC is involved with wrestling and his starting feuds in general like he gets off on it somehow.
I remember him on Joe Reagan talking about how he saw a celebrity shape shift once
The Smashing Pumpkins, made some seriously memorable songs that will last the test of time.
That's what really matters to mankind.
I found it incredibly hilarious as he seems to take himself so seriously all the time like he’s some kind of mythical creature or something.
LMFAO
Vegfest sounds awful
@@jjdillon1207 vegfest is great. Billy Corgan is not.
Avacado pudding 🤮
@@toddinthemiddle it’s better than cow pus pudding.
Billy Corgan seems to have a feud with everyone in the music industry. However I've read multiple anecdotes that he's genuinely nice to fans.
Like Candice Owens, he stirs up controversy in order to stay relevant...pathetic!
It probably kills him to be nice to fans

This was quite interesting. I've liked Billy since I was a kid, but with the caveat of "Billy's an asshole"
Honestly, seeing all of these beefs explained only gives me more respect for him. He can be biting with his words, but he seems to choose them carefully. A real dude
I saw them in the mid nineties and remember Billy saying something along the lines of “Better than Ezra will always suck!” Not sure what that was about but I cheered along with the crowd 😂
Billy Corgan is just lashing out because he's mad. Mad that he'll never look as cool bald as Yul Brynner.
Bangkok, Oriental setting
And the city don't know that the city is getting
The creme de la creme of the chess world
In a show with everything but Yul Brynner
I absolutely ADORE The Smashing Pumpkins (especially the original lineup obviously) but yeah...he's a trip lol..but damn he's such a good songwriter...his love songs are some of the BEST...some grunge fans hate his voice....I love it...unique and beautiful.
Of course that grunge fans hate his voice when grunge bands had god like singers.
have u actually turned up the volume knob tho...
I love that cover of Paws with him. I want a poster of that shit. Such a beautiful smile.
25 years later and Billy Corrgan is still pissed about Collective Soul, even after they proved in court that the song was older than The Smashing Pumpkins itself. No wonder so many people hate them.
And Nirvana
@@frankreads8618 you know it would be one thing if they didn’t achieve superstardom. If collective soul had taken their sound and became famous and they didn’t then I would understand. Collective Soul doesn’t sound anything like them other than all the music from that time period somewhat sounds the same, like any time period does for that matter. I never once listen to Collective Soul and pulled smashing pumpkins from it. What’s funny is he openly admits to borrowing and ripping off things from other bands like rush. I don’t get it.
Eddie Vedder's Prune Jam😅😂🤣😭
my dad and some of his old friends met him at a concert backstage back in the 90's and my dad always told me he was one of the nicest singers he met. also i love smashing pumpkins music, its my childhood really
He was of the nicest singers that your father ever met? That's a pretty odd fucking statement...

@toddinthemiddle Funnily enough, alot of people have either had amazing person experiences with him or found him to be a huge jerk
I wasn't aware of an artist or musician that ever liked Billy Corgan
Can’t look at Corgan without seeing Caillou!!!😝
Billy is the real deal. F the haters and talentless backstabbers.
Next subject.
Back in high school - we were about sixteen I think so 1996/1997 - I had a friend whose brother saw Billy Corgan here in Ottawa at the Rideau Centre. Simple story but it just cracked us all up hearing our friend's sweet brother put Billy in his place so loudly and succinctly 😂 . I saw Smashing Pumpkins a few years later and they were fantastic, but yeah...fuck you, Billy Corgan 😋.
My god I hope this is true
@@hemingwaysbeards I assure you, it's true 😁. I've told this story to other friends over the years and any time a bunch of us get together now, if anyone jokingly teases one of us or does something dumb or gets pissy, someone inevitably shouts out "HEY, FUCK YOU BILLY CORGAN" and everyone just starts cracking up 😂.
@@kikib8434 hahaha thank you for sharing this. I just love how that kid called out the great Billy Corgan and there was nothing Billy could do about it. This is coming from me, a fan of early SP but not a fan of Billy as a person. kudos to your friend's brother
@@hemingwaysbeards oh my pleasure! Honestly, I'm glad you got a kick out of it 😁😂. And I feel the same - a fan of Smashing Pumpkins...not a fan of Billy and I love that my buddy's brother publicly shamed him 😋.
@@kikib8434 Billy must have felt like a real rat in a cage 🙂
One of the most original and certainly one of the greatest singer/songwriters to ever come out of American rock.
Saw the pumpkins last September with the original lineup (minus Darcy, lol) and they sounded great. Billy had friendly banter with the crowd. it’s good that the old feuds within the band were resolved, mostly
The only reason I don’t like Billy is he’s pretty big anti-vaxxer. Other than that I hold nothing against him

He was on the cover of Cat Fancy in 2014 or so.
I like it better than Billy Corgan on Alex Jones.
I never heard of that..but Soundgarden was amazing at one time - until what.. 1998? Superunknown may be the best overall album of that era.

Without Jimmy Chamberlain, there would have never been a Smashing Pumpkins.
@@JP-zi9mr I agree Billy was a talented songwriter and guitarist, a perfectionist at that but without the kick ass drumming to distract from his grating, monotone singing, the band most likely would've never gotten off the ground.
