That makes sense!!! Someone else mentioned that too. I'm not sure why I didn't even think of that lol but so glad to know it was a user error problem haha!!
if you have an offset that doesnt show the contour button switch the cut setting for the offset to basic cut (usually when i come across that problem its in the print then cut setting)
Was about to say this too! If you offset a print then cut image the offset is set as a print then cut operation and grays out the contour option until you switch the operation to basic function. I was confused the first time I had this happen. These are so cute.
The ink tank system appears to be much better than the cartridge system ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 and a lot cheaper to run. The machine was easy to set up. A small point but I thought they'd be a USB cable included to help with the set up but there was none. I've been using it now for a few weeks and it seems like a good product and superior to my previous printers which were all troublesome HP machines.
Great video, for the conture button issue, I guess you have to switch to cut only instead of print and cut, and conture button will work, and then you can change it back to print and cut, I don't know it's the ideal solution but it works for me , thanks for the video
So when you put the laminate down, I find that putting it down partially like you did in the beginning and then using the scraping tool to push it off the roll helps with bubbles and it doesn't crinkle the paper.
For the Offset that doesn’t show the Contour, instead of Slicing, you could always add a Shape that covers the holes, or missing parts, and just Weld it. Gives you the same result, just another option. 😊
Tha ks so much for this tutorial. I've shared with a friend! By using the laminate on top, does it make the sticker more durable? Water proof for drink bottles etc?? Also, I've seen people on instagram put their laminate on using that scraper thing you use and it seems to work with no bubbles. Hope that made sense!!
Hey Hun, the reason the Offset didn't come up with the contour option was because the image was set as a print then cut. With the offset selected change it to a basic cut then the contour option will show. xx
Thank you for sharing. I see Trinity listed above how you can fix the offset issue, but I wanted to also let you know that when you send your project to the printer and it looks a little funny when you have the bleed on, just hit the cancel button at the bottom and go back in. This usually fixes the problem for me and the prints come out just fine. Let me know if this works for you. Thanks again for sharing.
Thank you for the suggestion! I gave that a try and it is still not working with the bleed on. Someone suggested that maybe the bleed isn’t needed since it’s all white shapes and maybe that’s causing it to look like that. I think that might be the issue
this doesn't work for me either I am thinking it may be a driver issue I am going to try to uninstall and reinstall my printers I have 3 so it may take all day lol but I will let you guys know if this fixes the issue and if you guys find a fix please update me its driving me crazy all my images are printing like puzzle pieces all jumbled up and out of place
@@KaylasCricutCreations @brandilove1662 Wow, yeah I am not sure then. I know that cancelling and going back in has always helped me with this problem, but I do hope you find a fix to it soon.
Hi, thank you for sharing. Do you know if this laminate makes the stickers waterproof? I have tried other holographic laminate’s, and they kind of get foggy after testing them with a water.
The contour button does not show up for print then cut. When you create the offset on the print then cut the offset appear as a print then cut, so change to basic cut, contour then flatten.
Wen you were doing the 2nd offset and could not figure out why it would not contour, it is because the image was a print and cut, needs to be basic cut. I actually learned this a few days ago making stickers myself. LOL Great video, thanks for posting.
I was wondering if you would mind talking about your printer more?:) I am looking at getting one for stickers and maybe even art prints if it is good quality enough:) I was wondering if you already had a video that dives into that more or not, I see the model you have and curious if you recommend it or not. Also if it can handle thicker paper materials like cardstock? If there was any reason inkjet is better than laser or something? i know I just asked like 10 questions so any advice would be appreciated or if its already answered in a video perhaps :) Thank you love this so much and your content always!
when I try to align horizontally or vertically there's actually grayed out so I can't select this option. Not sure what I'm doing wrong as I seemed to follow step by step.
Hey I haven't had a chance to make these stickers yet but I did make some stickers for my husband water bottle. I put clear laminate on top for the stickers and cut them.oit perfectly but whe. Water got o his bottle the stickers bled and now they look aweful. It's like the laminate didn't stick can you help. His water bottle is metal..
I have seen on other videos people putting the laminate over the registration marks and it works, but I have yet to have it work. It may be my Explore Air 2, I haven't tried it with my Maker yet.
It does seem to be the Explore Air 2 machine that has the issue. Have you tried putting matte scotch tape over the registration line? Sometimes that can trick it into working.
adjust your lighting this always helps me sometimes I turn all the lights off and then I turn on a flashlight and shine it onto the paper I am cutting or sometimes I just leave the lights on or try closing your lid down just while it is reading your registration marks this usually helps
Can you explain what I have to do on the with the circuit to read the registration I got lost once it came to set up The circuit to print all the stickers How does it know how to do the registration line
This question was asked quite a while ago, so hopefully you were able to figure it out, tho I’ll leave this for you anyway … Anytime you do a Print & Cut, it automatically prints out the Registration Marks, so you don’t have to do anything there. As far as the Cricut being able to read those Registration Marks, ‘lighting’ seems to be the main issue. A good way to help that is to put MATTE Scotch Tape over them and then trace them with a Black Sharpie. Hope that helps! 😊
Hello! I’ve been preparing to start a sticker business and I just tried printing on a holographic paper but got dissapointed with the result. The border which is white didn’t come as white but silver or the color of the paper which is holographic:((
I noticed my printer did the same thing while in the BETA version so I switched back to live and reprinted and they came out normal. Hope that helps you.

I tried making holographic stickers today and it failed 7 times due to the machine not reading registration lines. I troubleshooted and tried 5 different things, turning lights off, covering with matte scotch tape, darkening the Registration lines with sharpie, switching to beta, recalibrating, turning off the machine and still not cutting. 😭 do you have any suggestions? I'm so frustrated with the Explore Air 2 messing up and I've only had it for 7 months 😫
Hi!! The problem with holographic stickers is it's not clear and usually has some type of pattern that throws off the Cricut being able to read the registration lines. I would try cutting the paper down so it fits inside the registration lines so nothing is covering the black lines.
Oh wow I don’t know why I didn’t even think of that with it being all white shapes. Maybe that is why it’s printing weird. That’s also a great suggestion to just cut out around the laminate where the registration marks are!
If you make a white border (offset) you need bleed to be off. If you make any other color other than white border, you can have bleed on.
That makes sense!!! Someone else mentioned that too. I'm not sure why I didn't even think of that lol but so glad to know it was a user error problem haha!!
But I just watched another sticker video you made and you had white offset and bleed worked. At least I though that's what you did.
Love that you left all your mistakes/mishaps. It helps me to see how you fixed the issue. Thanks for the video.

Omg yes!! I totally forgot that it doesn’t show up when it’s set to print then cut. Thank you!!! 😀
This is what I do too! I have been making stickers all day long today. 🙂
I just figured this out a few days ago when doing stickers for my stepdaughters.

Yesss! When my contour doesn’t show up I just weld a circle inside together. 😊
For the Explore Air 2 using a piece of matte tape over the registration lines should make them readable.

I love these stickers… where can I get them??
hey kayla! love your videos. What is the new largest print then cut size now?
How much can you sell stickers for, and do you have classes for making stickers, this is fast, but ty enjoying video 😊

I see she doesn’t reply to many comments 🧐 …and it was 4 months ago you asked. But Amazon have them. Thats where I got some. They are great 👍
With a white offset there won’t be a bleed printed - that might also be why it screwed up the print.
Also, if people have trouble with the air 2 reading the lines, just notch out those corners on the laminate before you put it down.
