Yeah, it's a real problem. Most doctors will recommend lots of cardio, but they really don't know a lot about weightlifting, and most will tell you to use light weights, if they have anything positive to say about it at all.
My concerns would pertain to increased intra-abdominal during pregnancy (and lifting) as well as, post birth pelvic floor strains and DRAMs (abdominal separations) and their affect on lifting
You lower the weight appropriately during the 2nd and 3rd trimester so you aren't training near your pre-pregnancy max. As for pelvic floor strains, this may shock some people, but a woman's pelvic floor is going to go through a lot during birth regardless if she lifts during her pregnancy or not. In my experience, lifting can help keep mamas strong enough that they can give birth more efficiently and actually have fewer post-birth complications.
I take it you're the authority on strength training while pregnant? How many times have you been pregnant again? I think I'll listen to actual women and their experiences on this matter.
“My doctor didn’t really know what strength training was..”. Wow, need to educate these doctors

Women deadlifting while pregnant? What the fuck....
Shouldn't this type of subject be left to the guys at Barbell Medicine? They are more knowledgeable on strength training and medical issues
Nah, actual women (not "guys") who have lifted through a pregnancy and those who are Starting Strength Coaches are plenty knowledgeable.
Pregnant women should never weight train, maybe some light cardio. I’d hate for the baby to get hurt.
