Just played this today and promptly forgot about the bishop to G3 and castled instead. He went Knight to C3 so on a larf I went pawn to B5 and he took it with his Knight! BAM! Bishop to G3 check, discovered attack on the Queen and resignation after move 10! What a sweet response to d4. Keep 'em coming Mr. Smirnov!
I watched Eric Rosen's videos about it too and I'm thinking this one is more beneficial in terms of simplicity of the moves, easy to understand, thank you sir 🙌
I like the queen sacrifice but rook d1 might win more material. it pins the knight and even if he moves his king to c1 you can take the knight with rook. then bxd2, QxF1+, after the king moves Qxa1
these video keep coming even if these opening are actually unsound...the videos where you were explaining strategy, pawn structures, positional concepts, to take is a mistake were sooooo much better. Please do them again
Speaking of "to take is a mistake", what if, when we play d6, the opponent just doesn't take ? It just seems like we want the bishop there to threaten things on the d file, but if the opponent just doesn't take, nothing is happening there, and your bishop might have some trouble developing because you blocked it.
Hello and merry Christmas 🎄 I like your videos and your advices. I have a question. If the white doesn't play xd6 what do you recommend in any case. Thank you very much!!
12:45 what if instead taking the knight with the king black plays Knight d5 counterattacking your queen and threatening the same fork in the next move ?
Hi, I'm just wondering what to do if white plays 1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 e5 3. dxe5 Ng4 4. Nf3 d6 5. Bg5? It seems pretty annoying and according to Stockfish, the best move is Qd7 and then after exd6 there is Bxd6, but no more attack. Thanks

@@ingogoldbeck2886 I love tennison gambit against Caro-kann it's way better than getting into any of Caro theory which black probably knows better than me.

Is positional chess not interesting for you?
I had trouble against 4.Bf4, Rubinstein Variation, now this video clarifies that variation. Thanks Igor for this video
Thankyou Igor your lessons keep getting better and better
I always like he consistency in quality chess advice from your content, this opening should be called the the 7 deadly traps of the Budapest.

I love your longer videos
I'm sticking with hartlaub charlick and love it! never had fun playing black at all until that. now to get rid oft he scandinavian
Hello Igor, can you make a series for endgames?
You have many videos for opening and middlegame but now, endgames.
Thanks for the suggestion.

Qxf1+
knight takes back the Nf2+ winning the queen for free because the knight is not defending the queen so black wins a bishop

Budapest Gambit ! I'm likin it.
Sir make a video against english opening🙏
Thank you oh wise and mighty one...
Dear igor, your hint to check the englund gambit in case of no c4 doesnt make sense when you already have chosen to play nf6 😊.
Very cool
Can you make a video about the old indian defence as opening against 1. d4?
1:05 instead of exd6 what if h3? All fails!
Nxe5
At 12:55 what if White replies Qb3 to be followed by Nd5 or Nb5 ? With his Bf4 still there the tricks shown in thus video do not work.
Did you ever get any solution on this ? I am in the same position currently

Black move is casteling O-O-O
1:23 If the bishop go to e3 instead, it wouldn't work to win the queen.
I am sorry, but I am strongly convinced that White never go c4 after d4, they go Nf3 first to avoid any tactics against d4-c4 setup
It’s the most common move…

I play Nf3 to avoid the Budapest too. But Nf3 is also committal. What if you wanted a pawn on f3 to play the Samisch against the King's Indian?
