We Cut off our roof to add a AluCab Hercules Conversion
We install sound deadening and a radio
Get some seat covers.
Share some Troopy Dimensions
and go on a Solo Test Trip

When did you do this conversion? I note this seems to be the slightly older Hercules design. The new version has the roll-up awning and may have the revised latches too. The roll-up awning is in my view a mixed blessing. It is a tricky operation to roll it up and as a result in our experience you rarely bother with it. The improved latches are a must as the original version kept breaking on us.
Otherwise I think you will enjoy a great deal. Oh, and do add the mattress topper to make the bed comfortable!

Thanks for the comments 🤙. It was actually October 2021 🙈 that’s how long it took me to do a video. I didn’t know that they had changed to a roll up awning. Agree it is a bit of work, but at least you get a great view out the back🤷🏽‍♂️🤙

Hopefully they have sorted that rubber strip along the front hinge. A friend has had to replace it 3 times due to cracking 🙄. Time will tell, due to weather, heat etc. I have been looking at pop tops from Germany, Poland, South Africa and Australia. The Muglo V2 is one I haven't seen. I am currently in Morocco and plan to be in southern Africa by November...guess I will make up my mind as to whether or not to chop by then 🤔. I sincerely hope it all works out well for you and look forward to the next video.

Thanks. Our rubber on the AC seems fine after a year. We do not get the Mulgo here. But if you want to watch a good video on it check fritzintroopy. They compare AC and Mulgo.

@@troopyinafrica many thanks for your reply. We have been on the road for 8 years travelling down West Africa and toured Southern Africa in 2016. Botswana was one of our favourite places and that's why we are returning. Plus we will be having cosmetic work done to our Troopy in Namibia 🇳🇦😀. Maybe catch up later.

Thanks for watching. Problem is the prices are not the same everywhere. I am in South Africa and had it installed at their HQ so it is bound to be cheeeper. I paid about R115k two years ago 🤷🏻‍♂️if I recall. Best is to contact them direct. Where you based?
