thanks for watching me flats :) can’t wait for the next roast
My casual suggestion is that once you climb they are going to punish you much more for your mistakes, so when you die, every time, instead of not thinking about it, you should think "why did I die, why were the enemies able to kill me?", and you'll probably find out that most of the time it was your position and movement instead of your mechanics or teamates or luck. If you take that punishement as an opportunity to think, your brain automatically learns how to play better really quickly, since positioning is not something you can practice in an aim trainer especially in this game.
You probably won't see all mistakes you make at first, but the more you recognize them, the more you will recognize in the future.
Because you have A LOT of potential and you did really good for someone who just started playing fps games
Well played bro, good luck climbing
Really nice gameplay for a starter better then my pepega cree
I’m a diamond/masters tank and a plat dps and I stg your aim is better than mine.
just play more and you will climb very high, your gamesense will come with experience, you are very good.
Don't you just hate it when the tank you're popping in the head just disappears into the God damn aether?
That was just McCrees new buff, disconnect one enemy per game.
@@rossthemoss6827 honestly he needed it. McCree is just too weak right now
This made me laugh more than it should. Thank you

In fairness OW is just a harder game to aim in even without the excuse of blaming another unrelated aspect of gameplay or a "bad team".
1. Movement acceleration is non-existent in OW and animations change radically compared to games like CoD when strafing.
2. Models in OW vary tremendously. In CS:GO there are only going to be a few options to where the model of an enemy rounding a corner is going to be. In OW tracer has very good control over where she is in the Z and X axis, it's just more options to consider.
3. OW is just faster than other games and makes more use of it's Y axis. Flying characters are easily the biggest hurdle for newbies and i think it's because other shooters don't prioritize vertical aim as much as OW.
Good luck to this bronze and their climb!
Great analysis ngl. Never played csgo but i feel you got it right with you points.

Yeah, if you've ever fought a Lucio who likes to do the Beyblade Spin when in trouble, it is extremely hard to hit.
Or Soldier Sprint 180 in field
Or Tracer as a Character
«1. Movement acceleration is non-existent in OW and animations change radically compared to games like CoD when strafing.» yes! it pisses me off so much
i love how the game didn't end when sigma left after 15 seconds but in my games we literally win the round and it ends after someone rage quits
It’s because the game doesn’t get canceled if the person leaving has taken any amount of damage. The only way it can get canceled is if they are inactive without taking damage until getting kicked/and or dc before taking damage. It is to prevent people from losing one fight in 15 seconds and then rage quitting. If you had a game end that means one of their teammates was afk the WHOLE fight without moving or taking damage before getting kicked. Some people use this as a method to determine whether it’s worth staying the game or not. I hope that helps
Flats I can't thank you enough for your game play content spectating bronzes content and your rate my rein content.

I think the more impressive thing here and why her mechanics seem good is she's managed to be the first Bronze in history to have proper mouse sensitivity settings on a DPS hero. She's not jittery or way to high sense.
What would the best sensitivity be for dps ?
@@lasestaora don’t go over 12k Edpi.
@@lasestaora I had 30k edpi and got to diamond so doesn't matter too much, but I have to say... unless you have nerve damage of some sort, don't go over 10k epdi, and most people play around 4k

Love how mercy was going to stay with him at the blocks but dips out after his 6th try to climb it.
Oh man I am really surprised at first how a mechanically decent player like him ended up in bronze. After he said he likes watching Jay3, it just all make sense now.
The point about watching higher-level play as a new player was really good. I've had OW since Ana release and for the life of me, I couldn't figure out how to play D.va until I watched my friend play her in person. Then all of a sudden it was, oh, movement, ok.
Not bad mechanics, but movement, awareness, speed, and understanding of the game needs work and it will get better! Keep working hard.
ik this is random but what does mechanics mean?

Re: Dead Eye, I believe it's right to left, so the shot meant for the right-most target would hit first, regardless of damage. Or the other way around. Like, it is position-based I think which is why sometimes Genji will get a Deflect kill but someone else will still die before Genji if his shot isn't first.
I used to watch you every now again, then you started doing the spectating bronze series and I've started binging your videos, subscribed and followed on twitch. Great content! I know you dislike vod reviews, but you're really talented at educating your viewers in a unique way. I hope you learn to love doing these because it is wonderful
Honestly, as far as aim goes, I think it's also about the fact that overwatch has a roster of heroes that all have very different hitboxes, movement patterns, and abilities. So if someone is new, and they don't know how the heroes move, it can be pretty tough to land headshots, even if you can mostly manage body shots.
I think that would still be true even if you were pretty used to playing shooters. Like hypothetically, if the only other game you played was CS:GO, and suppose you are decent but not amazing at it... in overwatch, at least at first, your aim and decision making would probably suck. You'd know how to aim generally, but you'd find yourself shooting at D.va's DM, or desperately trying to kill a roadhog mid breather, etc etc.
Sometimes even if you can land the shot, there's no way you would actually kill anything assuming you're not on Widow and still landing headshots or something.
Half of killing things in this game is keeping mental track of important cooldowns, and just going on the offensive while you have a slight advantage over them. Someone with no gamesense will regularly take really bad fights.
Honestly part of why I like this game. It’s half planning/knowledge and half actual gaming.
I love that Mr. Flats always greets Stupid in every video, makes me laugh
the walk up the wall fail just got me off guard xD Especially seeing it from a better angle is painful ---
"Youre watching Jay3 he makes a lot of trips back from spawn" the noise that got out if me, god damn lmao
"there's so much excuses in this game [for not having mechanical skill]" me not hitting any shots on Widow ever
Flats always talks about Orisa and Rein comp being a bronze classic. Yet, I saw that exact comp played in Emongg's GM game on his recent video where he accidently picked support.
Yeah this meets exists in high level games depending on the patch. But rein-horse is bronze meta since launch
“He makes a lot of trips back from spawn” 😂😂
Ssam did pretty fucking excellently, besides the inability to climb that one rock.
You’re a legend FLATS! I hope to grow as a player and run into you some day
your stabs at jay are so FKN good. play of the video *jay makes a lot of trips from spawn so I'm sure you know those roll outs*
It’s the balls of steel that makes it hard for him to go up that block. 😂
For high noon it fires left to right but ramps at the same speed for damage. So since rein was to the left and was in Los first and longer the higher damage shot broke shield and second shot was the brig shot which killed her. But since both had skulls she was dead no matter what. However I have personally had a ball block someone's skulled bullet "get down mr. President style" and live then died to the non skull bullet on the ball himself.
How did the match not end? They just started when the sigma left. I’ve played games where we were rolling and it had gone on for quite awhile and the game ended cause someone left.
I was wondering that too! Could maybe be that the round had started and he picked a hero..? And had done some things? I know they added something to avoid dodging. A lot of game cancels are because someone went afk and never picks a hero. But I am not 100% sure on how it works.
well he came back in time i guess
@@karamei I believe it's if they've engaged the enemy it won't trigger anymore
Omg I want a Jay3 react video to this.
It’s his humorous balls dragging on the floor that makes it hard for them to walk
You had me at Jay3 roast, Flats. That's always a good time.
“Jay probably already dead” Jesus the burns
21:08 rare footage of soldier flossing
OMG LMAO
i just really love the music on this video
For reference high noon will charge past full health on targets - this is most notable in that you can hold for along time and then full break a rein (or orisa, sigma, brig, whatever) shield in the first bullet and then the rest of your bullets kill the actual targets behind the shield.
"jay3, flats, emongg and ML7 are all the usual choices" I- I watch sleepy...
Wow I'm a little suprised that a tank player doesn't know this. I remember learning this in a kings row game on streets phase when a primal+Nano+rally winston inside a bubble shield got caught in our zarya grav and his whole team was behind him while I was doing a damage boosted highnoon. His shield took the first shot and he ended up taking 3 shots before he died. I'm pretty sure that's still the highest Stat game I've ever had 😅.
that failure to climb the wall at 7:00 its me in console.
flats i just wanted to say how much i love your content and your personality these fun videos have been keeping me going for a while now. i reallly appreciate you and I hope you know i am sitting behind this screen believing in you and am so hopeful for your future :) thank you so much for making amazing content flats
im surprised they arent in silver just on the fact they hard carry team fights alone.
bro flats! no mercy with the roasts! you're funny af!
Cuz jay3 makes a lot of trips back from spawn. The passive aggressiveness I love it
16:30 I had doubt about the bronzeness of this vod, until that duel between Mc Cree and Hog XD
I love you Flats youre one of the most wholesome Overwatch streamers out there!

12:49 The legend himself literally shows up in chat
I love Flats's screams, but I always ended up worried about his throat after I laugh. lol Also, I loved the officer Jay3 thumbnail. Seems like he's ready to miss every shot of a High Noon in a 6-man grav after saying "I never missed a high noon in my life".
Maybe this bronze needs to watch some Wanted too. Jay3 for the pepega strats and Wanted for the 500iq positioning. But yeah, they're pretty good, they definitely have the base of the house ready. Good luck to Sam.
5:27 Sigma does have a lag spike, most likely his PC froze, but the thing is Overwatch tend to disconnect for that.
So like you have a lag, you do return and have like half a second to do something but the game boots you from the match anyway.
Everyone gangsta till stupid get carrots
I dont even play overwatch but these videos are hilarious xD The chat is amazing too :DD
this was me but exactly a year after this vid. i’ve rarely ever played fps games, only a few on my brothers pc, but in october 2022 i started playing valorant. i wasn’t that good at it, n i got bored when i started to play ow2 in december. now, in march 2023 i’m still playing it and it’s still fun as ever

how about a highlights of the month
For someone who only STARTED playing fps since January, they sure do have pretty steady aim and even some decent tracking. This feels more like a "notice me" vid
Did you even watch the video? Listen to what flats is saying in the video.
Did you even read his comment? Flats is talking about movement and OW game mechanics, not aim and tracking as this guy is referring to.

Coming back and watching OW1 vods where Orisa isn't an unkillable demon is somewhat refreshing and bittersweet.
9:50 as someone with an office job whos currently watching this at work i can vouch for this fact.
I love how flats ended up turning this into a coaching vod review lol
This dude is literally just Zoro playing overwatch then 7:00
This person reminds me of my friend who has better mechanics than me on most heroes, but I'm higher ranked on all roles because his positioning/game sense is worse.
Something I noticed here that I see all the time is people always try to shoot Sym's turrets even if they are head level or lower. People seem to forget they can punch them and they if they are close together one punch will take out all three. I've turned around to the Sym portal that just popped up behind me and punched the 3 turrets dead just to see a teammate die that way a minute later because they tried to step back and shoot them one at a time. They don't even need to be over lapping for that to work.
A lot of people don't know this but I have tried explaining this to teams when the turrets are an issue and within melee range. Not sure if they even try afterward though. I think they think turrets have more hp than that, or forget melee is a cleave.
Sigma was victim of 'The Snap'
Mr. Torbjorn... I don't feel so good.
wasnt ready: i sit down took a drink of my tea and hear "u know routes to take, how to come back from spawn bc Jay3 makes alot of trips back from spawn" ...spit tea on my monitor and keyboard....
I feel those random melees. Back when I played COD I'd instinctively melee at close range because I know it'd kill. Now in every other FPS my fingers "slip" and I uselessly punch things. Makes Apex actual hell to attempt playing.
I think the main thing with overwatch is, training the overwatch brain is the hardest, mechanical skills is comparatively the easiest, there are less mechanical heroes and people still are in bronze.
Noted, pile of Brigittes is not a house.
"Don't need a shield when you have balls" lol
Not me going “good morning” back everyday while I get ready for work
It's just me or did anyone see a Recall intro here? hahaha, I loved it.
...This WAS a GOODIE! 🤣 Fun video.
I watched my boyfriend play this game, I tried it and I didn’t know what was going on. I’m so confused but this game looks fun.
it's definitely a learning process!! watching streamers helps a lot, cause you can get a sense of where things are and what maps look like, which frees you up to focus on movement that won't get you killed by the enemy team
Girlie get on the hype!
Flats intros always make me laugh, he repeats himself like 50 times XD best intros!
6:50 literally me oml /cry
Even funnier is my first name is Samantha & I was tabbed playing the sims & all I hear is "SAM...SAM...SAM..." lmao I felt attacked
Dude I'm fucking addicted to these like a crack fiend in the 80's
jay3 in mid fights: *screaming* MEDICAL ASSISTANCE!!!!
Holy shit, I just noticed that flats has lost weight
Yeah I've seen plat players that aimed similar to this. Positioning and awareness are definitely more than the mechanics here.
"he [jay3] makes a lot of trips from spawn...."
Looks like a diamond with that aim
Hes not bronze. Its a fake vod imo. I've literally climbed out of silver as mercy on DMG boosting a single DPS. Climbed to diamond. Climbed out of silver being an absolute idiot just shooting stuff. Climbed out of silver to 3500 feeding as rein. This is fake as fuck.
Talking about mechanical skills at the start and it reminds me of a very old FPS game called Incoming
sometimes ill be like how is this guy in bronze and then their fatal flaw happens and I go , ah of course.
So glad to see this back!
Lowkey proof of how Karq and those tips and tricks videos revolutionized the games ladder. Back in 2018 people thought blinking forward and back against a cree was high level play, but now its just a normal mechanic u learn right after figuring out how to walk forward
no fucking shot this person is bronze that pop off in second point was nuts
