hghh which is weird because Syn mostly still used schecter guitars on this album. He didn't have the Syn custom guitars like he used now. On waking the fallen he used a normal white schecter C1 with Seymour Duncan invader Pickups that he still uses in his new guitars.
Hence why he hasn't changed it after all these years

I love that this absolute masterpiece of a video is the official music video 😂 this song will forever remind me of my early teens, especially sneaking out of my house at 14 to go see them live in Milwaukee at the Rave and thinking I was a whole grown ass adult with my knee high converse and studded belts (plural). Despite the answer my step-dad coerced out of me when I got home at 4 AM on a school day smelling like pot and bad decisions, it was totally worth the month of being grounded 🤘

This era is special to me. I was 17. I was living with my grandparents in boring OK in the sticks but we had satellite TV. A new era of Headbangers Ball had come out and I discovered A7X and I immediately got their CD with my allowance. Lol.

Why are there so many people here acting like how thrash fans acted when Metallica produced the Black Album? Nothing they've made remotely deserves that kind of insult or hate. And yes, HTTK is a bit below A7X standards, but its still better then most of the rest of the market, and its not actually bad at all, most of the songs are actually really good, imo, they were just a bit overly polished and could have used slightly better drumming, but I don't think that'll be a problem on the next album as of yet.

I didn't like the record after HTTK at all. To me the mix on HTTK reminded me of the first Danzig release. It was really basic and not so polished that it was slick.

honestly HTTK was their worst album... they only had a few good songs. that drummer had so much potential, but he didnt deliver it like he should have. he needed to be more like jimmy, not lars.

HTTK imho is the weakest album they got, but its so much better then most other bands still, and I feel it shouldn't be disregarded as an album. Although the drumming probably could have been better, but that's because the drummer they had wasn't into the music being produced, I would think Wackerman is likely to produce much better things.
(However I am liking the direction they are taking so far, but it needs more refinement imho, and less polish maybe)

This is first A7X song that heard - i remember when it came in 2003 i thought "another metalcore band, but sounds kinda different than Chimaira or Lamb of God... I'm very impressed for evolution of that band, and everytime i listen to them, old or newer stuff, i hear real fun of making music, these guys are real fans of hard'n'heavy... ;]

This here is when you just know something really cool and unique is beginning to take shape. On an instinctual level, you're already aware of the greatness they are destined for. Whenever you have such a devoted, ever increasing fanbase working as hard as the band itself is to ensure you give them their chance- that's when you know something special is happening. Very few bands cultivated such a dedicated following within their grassroots when they were still just starting out. These types of fans are just the town locals who see them playing their local bars & night clubs on the weekends. No record deals, music videos, or slots to join Warped Tour have come yet. These are all just hundreds of locals following them, yet they're already enthralled by this undiscovered, no-name-band. The few other bands who also rose to prominence the same way by generating a cult following so soon are some of the biggest names in Rock history: The Ramones, Sex Pistols, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Guns N Roses, and Soundgarden are but a few of the other prestigious names who rose through the ranks the same as Avenged did by creating a local buzz so intense that it forced the record labels to sit up and take notice. These types of things become movements, and if you can manage these upstarts properly, then you have captured lightning in a bottle.

Matt doesn't like to scream anymore and I can understand that but you can't deny the fan closeness and the guitar riffs. I love those guys.
