I have the same setup and I believe the docking hardware is designed (length of bolts) to be run with the saddlebags on. With the bags on, the bolts would not protrude that far in and can be torqued down properly. When I run without bags, I simply get a couple of shorter bolts to fill the holes in the struts.
I think the heritage is one of the best bikes harley makes, it is very underrated. I'll probably be purchasing one hopefully in near future. You have a really great bike there!
Thank you! We agree. The new Harleys don’t even look like Harleys anymore. The killed the Road King. They killed the Standard. The Heritage is probably next. Get one while you can.
@@KaffePower Those were cool but when it comes to the Road King I prefer the standard with Mags and Hard Bags and a windshield. I think the Road King Standard will come back as a revival at some point. I will buy one if they do.
I think Harley has an issue with that particular screw hole, same thing happened on my 2023 in the exact same spot/hole. Thankfully the threads aren't built into the fender and you can just replace the plate. Waiting for mine to come in.
@@stevebresha9536 I’m not sure that piece you’re talking about. The actual bar that supports the bag from the back and connects near the passenger peg? That bar stays connected to the bag.
@@TheSonofHarold yes, it is the support bar. I almost bought those bags, but my frame does not have that cylinder piece that it goes onto. I first thought that it connected/rests on the passenger peg shank. Your bike is the best color! Good luck with that man!!
Yeah, I just haven’t committed to a direction yet. I may pull the passenger pillion and put the rack there. I might go with the tall chrome discontinued sissy bar. For $50 I said screw it. I have it if I need it. Thanks for the comment.
i have the 2010 harley fatboy lo bike is almost stock slip om rush mufflers i did the harley dark custom collection look nice on the bike harley made 5 pieces derby cover timer cover air cleaner insert fits the stock air cleaner i wanted to get a new fatboy i did not like the look the 240 back tire looks to big good luck on your new bike
Appreciate the comment. I agree. Older Fatboys look better than the new models. I still haven’t decided on a collection yet. For now I’m just enjoying the ride. More to come. Thanks again.

Wish the road king classic is coming back. Spoke wheels and white walls. Hard leather bags.

Looks great 👍🏼
@@deg453 Thank you!
Great video
What goes on the round things that you bolted on
@@MrBradinblack What round things?
hey man, when hanging the flag on the wall, the Union goes to the left (top), not to the right as shown.
Thanks
Thank you for the assist. I made the correction. Never thought about the correct orientation when hanging vertically.

I agree. Being able to just do the plate is a huge benefit.
Hi. Where does that bag support go? The claw looking piece. When you removed the bags.
