    About Bre:
15-year-old Bre is your typical high-school student. She loves hanging out with friends, camping, singing and playing the ukulele.
In the summer of 2013, Bre started to have pain in her bones, but it wasn’t typical growing pains. She soon learned she had osteosarcoma - cancer in the bones. The cancer team at Primary Children’s started Bre on chemotherapy. She also had surgery to remove her right knee and a majority of her tibia, and put in a metal rod that would allow her to still walk.
The scar from the surgery didn’t heal as doctor had hope, so they brought in the hospital’s expert team of wound care nurses to help. That’s when Bre met her favorite nurse, Tina.
