The most important question is very simple: would you rather have more "armored" TDs like this one, or would you rather have more Italian TDs in the game? I for one have absolutely zero issue with WG introducing tanks like this to the game.
the issue is why should you buy this one when it has no armor, no autoloader, no speed, no anything. i get what you are saying but introducing a shitshow of a tank once in a while between two OP ones wont help the state of the game a single bit ....

Hey Skill, If you want to give us a FAIR first impression, play it with standard equipment, no food and a 100% crew with maybe 2 skills. Playing it with improved/bond equipment, large consumables and a very good crew is not how the vast majority will play it. Actually you should do both. Play it "standard" first, give your honest opinion, then play it pimped out and give your opinion on if that makes enough difference.

what, you don't already have a multiple sets of bounty equipment and stacks of improved food? I'm a casual player and the only thing that he was using that I don't run on my tanks most of the time (10 measly gold to transfer them around) was the ventilation directive or bounty hardening which I haven't ground out yet. Sure, his account had 9 skilled crews, but the combat performance of crew skills really don't make much different after the ~4th skill

I agree. I don’t run food or use large consumables except on rare occasions. I have very few pieces of bond equipment and my highest crew skills are 4 or 5.
But all of the CC’s except Claus Kellerman run their reviews pimped out.
I love the Ka-Ri! Its a nice balanced tank which is just a bit better than comparable tech tree tanks! I understand that both YTers from whose I watched the YT videos of Ka-Ri (Mailand and Skill) compared it to the Ferdinand because of its Hull and Armour profile, but I think it is more comparable to the Jg.Panther II to be honest.

This tank works "hulldown" only when facing standard ammo on tanks that aren't TDs. I'm struggling to think of a tank that CAN'T pen it with gold.

@@pirig-gal Skill issue. If you expect assault TD to mean that you can just sit and nothing can pen you, you are mistaken.
You can absolutely play this tank in an active role. It has the mobilty and gun handling to minimize its exposure time and the armour to bait shots. And depending on your enemy and what ammo they use, you'll be very hard to pen even without having to angle at all
Try 6 months after this tank is released, by then the gun wouldnt hit anything like skorpion and su130 right now lol
I would like to see the M50A1 Ontos TD added to the game. At least it was a real tank.
I would've liked to see the cost of the shells (I'm gonna assume the cost is the same as T-103 based on the type of shells), if you could do that for future new premium tanks that would be awesome. Great video as always skeeeeeeeeeeeeel

Reminds me more like playing the JPanther. Just a tier higher and more alpha.
It is hard for me to guess how that TD would work for me, because I have no 9-skill crew and cannot use directives+food+all-bounty equipment on my tanks.
I got it from the Lootboxes (I bought only 15 and got lucky), and from the one game I played with it, I can tell you that this tank does not necessarily need food, bond/bounty equipment, a good crew or all that other fancy stuff.
You can equip it with normal equipment and a fire extinguisher and still feel very comfortable in it. The crew should have around 4 skills, idk if you consider that a lot, but if you have many unused crew members from the events, battlepasses, 260/279e missions, etc., like me, you can easily get that many skills by also using a couple of crew books on them.
@@lordganimer883 TY! I do have several Recruits, as you said. I even have some bounty stuff, though I use them sparingly. One problem is that there are no tech tree Japanese TDs yet. So, if I got the new TD and put a crew in it, I would have to retrain them to a tech tree tank.
@@jamesbeall9310 There is a simple trick you can use.
When new tech tree comes out put the crew in the tank, train crew to 90% for 20k credits each.
Then use that crew in the premium tank without penalties for an hour with crewXP booster on. You will get the credits back and crew will be trained to 100% to use on the new techtree tank.

Hi skill! Sound is very bad. I think I can help you. You need to extract your sound in edit software (I use DaVinci Resolve) Dowload as an mp3 and pass through Adobe speech enhancement. I got it’s last night along with the forest spirit after spending 20$ on the boxes. It’s a solid workhouse like td. I like it
You don't really count. You got both new tanks within $20. That's as lucky as it gets. Many will spend £50 on 75 boxes and get a 59-Patton,
The gun handling and fully aimed accuracy on this thing look crazy good along with good mobility and turning/reverse speed. think I want it.
Having just a few hours ago HIT one of those Ka-Ri, three times, from a slightly higher position at 200m with a 122TM, and gotten 3 bounces in a row?
Calling it paper seems VERY unrealistic.
Bet 75boxes, got it and the spirit thing tank, and other 3 tanks that i already owned, so quite good one this "gambling".
Even though they presented this tank as an assault TD which is totally wrong, this tank is not bad.
In fact, it has one of the best guns for a tier 8 TD. 500 alpha every 10s, huge pen, good accuracy, good aim time and okay shell velocity.
That kind of gun on a quite mobile platform allows you to snipe effectively.
Still not a very flexible tank but it definitely can work very well in certain situations.

When showcasing NEW tank, Please do it with a basic equipment and a 2 or 3 skill crew so we can see what the "TANK" is really like, not what it Could be like..

SKILL .... I have been playing with KaRi .. first sniper like you.. then way more aggressive, a bit like WOT actually advertised and the results are actually quite decent, Tier 8 and Tier 9 battles with surprising results .... It's not the super armor but enough to bounce a couple of shots to keep me in the game .. and then I LOVE that ALPHA damage - Gold guaratees pens even against T9... With Turbo its pretty quick and gets around... Damn.... I am very pleasantly surprised -- So I think you were wrong this time about the tank... I LOVE it.... 🙂

I watched few of your videos by now , in my opinion when you make a review of a tank and test it maybe you should do it with a 1 -2 perk crew , since we not all own a lvl 10 one... The crew lvl and the type of ammo used in this game makes a big part of your good/bad experience.

The gun looks good. Accurate and high alpha. Dpm is not bad either. Im getting a bondstore taste in my mouth. Blind shots against this tank will be very effective because of the low chance to bounce and huge target to hit.
Dpm is trash. JPII is better than this tank unless it has God tier rng

WG should have 50+ maps by now. There should be enough maps that an average person doesn't get the same map more than a couple of times in a week.
Not knowing everything about every map would completely change the game.
Additionally there should be maps 1.2x1.2 km, 1.5x1.5 km, and 2x2 km. Larger maps with slightly more players.
This is the last thing i buy in world of tanks I don’t trust World of tanks anymore .

Skill, your new index is pretty but your search box is a bit iffy. Search is on the side but jumps to the middle when accessed, cancels when backspaced...Is it possible to keep it like the old index? German TDs have 65mm of HE pen, this japonese has 90mm. Grille 15 has 75. Something is really wrong with german tanks balancing.

now it is in gambling boxes - you win or lose money and in 4-5 months you will sell it directly for gold or money in the premiumshop..but in these boxes they don't give gold and I give up, I don't need it ...
No need every time introduce new op tanks , if wg reales tanks better and bettee that mean simulator 3/15 will be even more offten, with better dmp or hug clip who can clipp tank with one clip ots not good for game
This tank definitely needs to have nitro for super fast forward and reverse speed since the gun handling is good enough for most situations

i loaded gold in my AE-Phase 1 and shredded ka-ri like hot knife through butter
Bought 5 boxes only.....second box I got I recieved it.
I got the Ka-Ri as one of the 5 tier 8 premium tanks I got from buying 50 of the st patrick's boxes. Initially I didn't touch it at all because I had tried turretless TDs before and hated everything about them, but I saw its performance when a good player was playing it on my team on Outpost, dude was somehow able to solo brawl and kill 2 equal tier mediums, both with full HP without losing any of his HP.. So I figured I'd give it a try, what's the loss right?
First game 3.8k damage alone. Subsequent games of at least 1.5k hp damage, but averaging at about 2k hp damage per game, regardless of whether I had a clueless team or not. It low rolls at probably about 440 from what I've seen, but on average can hit around 470 and is pretty accurate considering my crew weren't even 100% let alone had any skills trained. I've been able to singlehandedly push heavies if I wanted to (in the right way, baring in mind this tank is somewhat lacking in armor, of course) and I've also been able to sit back, click and fire.
The camo on it is pretty decent (I have no camo equipment or skin equipped, so I've been running at the base stat level) which helps a lot when moving around maps, the turning speed is good, the speed is just a little slower than I would like and it's especially apparent when trying to go up hills.
It's caused me to completely change how I see turretless TDs. I don't hate them anymore, which is never something I thought I would say. For people used to turreted TDs they can be a little bit of a learning curve, but that's only an initial difficulty. I'm surprised at the results I've gotten from this tank, obviously it's not every single game because you can't always have a great game, but for a player that is still relatively new (sub 2k battles), still learning mechanics, and sitting at 700 total WN8, it's pretty overpowered with how easy it is to play once you learn how to play it right. I fire pretty much straight regular AP (still trying to get into habit of switching into HE for light armored tanks but it's a work in progress and I'm not quite there yet) and have only felt the need to fire gold against higher tiers with very heavy armor.
If you like turretless TDs, or you have good reaction time and like TDs in general, I would recommend trying this tank. It's been a great tank to play with even as someone that avoided the ever loving crap out of turretless TDs.

yah show it with normal equipment ...not the best you can get if you spend everyday playing and grinding ..........but i havent played in about 2 years because was getting sick of RNG saying NOPE you cant pen back of arty or tanks and saying we didnt penetrate their armor...but came back to the game and being 2 shot by BZ-176s in my t8s gets old and t7/t6 almost unplayable

I bought 150 boxes. Got ka-ri in 50th, then forest spirit and Kirovets-1 within the next 20 boxes. Also received gold for Gonsalo and AMX proto twice. I already have all other tanks. Altogether, got all the tanks i wanted and 30k+ gold in 150 boxes. Not bad, if you ask me.

I'm glad it's not over powered. It seems balanced, but I agree with Skill in that I wish it was more unique; its gameplay looks mundane like a skorpion without a turret.

It's a copy-pasted tank. No gold refund for a duplicate. You'll just have two 130's
