Brilliant video. I am originally from Campsall, so enjoyed your Norton Parish episode. My old stomping ground was Askern so your video on that town was very interesting, I have also lived in Barnby Dun and Kirk Sandall so found your videos on those parishes of particular interest and I now live in Edenthorpe. My cousin lives in Gowdall so I sent her a link to the video you did about that village. She loved that as her house appears in it! I am sure Doncaster Council could make use of your videos and include them in their archives for future generations and historians to enjoy. Keep up the good work.
Haha that would be ace if they did! I never set out to be a historian but it's kind of ended up that way! I'm enjoying every minute of it. Sounds like you've been around the place a bit then! No fewer than five of my videos you mention there! If the North of Doncaster/South of Selby/West of the East Riding is your area in general, look out for Hensall in a few days, plus I've just been to Barmby on the Marsh and Asselby and they'll be up soon too!
It'll be a while yet. Kent trip next week takes me away for a week. Five left in Doncasrer, but the next Doncaster one (which I'm editing as I type this) is not Stainforth, it's somewhere mighty close though! It'll be one of Doncaster's final four :D
Hi TVI, slight correction on the war memorial. In WW1 Edenthorpe was a blessed village meaning we suffered no losses. As you saw the village lost men in WW2 and the falklands. Great video though.
The link in the description is where I found that information. It states WWI and Falklands, nobody in WWII. Mind you, this is the internet and things are never 100% accurate, so I believe you over that :D
I think the village "thug" should return and do one. Last time I made an appearance in the shire people got whiplash from rubbernecking so fast. Im not kidding either lol

Come on lad ill show you what edenthorpe is really about, vigilantes and a local rebel who nobody dares say a word to. Get at me,
There is also a Sainsbury's in Doncaster, in the Frenchgate Centre.
There is indeed. I was meaning standalone supermarket in this video, then someone reminded me about Thorne
You missed the Toby Carvery near Sainsbury’s but you captured my house so thank you 🙏🏻
Where was that? I probably filmed waaaay more houses that I usually do here
As you came off “Tesco field “ before you got to Eden G 👍🏻
I look forward to seeing Stainforth.

@@TheVillageIdiot do you research these places before you go n do ur thing? Im just sayin ye
Yes
The Manor House is the building at 13.13
Thank you! Online it was a bit contradictory. one site said one thing, one said another
If you carried on down the bridle path towards Tesco traffic lights instead of Eden Grove Rd you would see a house called Tristrop
Oh wow! Named after Edenthorpe's old name! That's cool :D
5 pubs in Edenthorpe
Is there? Where's the fifth one? Must have been hidden away somewhere unless Park Social Club is the fifth one...which I guess it sort of is
Toby carvery...Holly bush...Eden arms...Ridgewood and The Beverley.
Ah the Toby Carvery! Opposite Sainsbury's!
