      Maybe if more people wanted to work for a living, such as on a farm growing food and their ingredients, the food we eat wouldn't need to include all the extras to feed the population that has grown EXPONENTIALLY since a lot of these foods have been introduced. Maybe more people need to quit expecting everyone else to do everything for them EXACTLY how they want it...

    This is a great video. I grew up as a child in the 60's and 70's , graduated from high school in the 70's and ate all of these snacks or sugary cereals like captain crunch or froot loops or whatever. There was no epidemic of childhood obesity back then but i thought it was because kids were so much more active. In the 60's and 70's kids would go out and play after breakfast or lunch and be out all day and would return till dinner time. There was no electronics to tie us down so we were always running around and we seemed to have boundless energy. We were always running around , riding bikes, at the playground or the park. I played sports and literally had no fat, I was skinny the whole time and so were other kids I knew yet we ate all those products. This video makes sense. Thank you 😊

      True but I think you're missing the point and thats the sad part as so many people are willfully ignorant of what's in our food today and it wasn't nearly as bad as it was just a few decades ago. Replacing real cane sugars with beet sugars and corn syrup and plasticizers and seed oils for example. But even worse our foods are contolled by a hand full of corporations and its getting worse all the time. Its not just the so called junk foods but the bleached breads void of wheat germ protiens and preservativies and processed foods that are touted as healthy. Very deceptive and misleading stuff. But yeah everyone can decide for themselves. You have yourself a great day.

    What got me was once I stopped by a local coffee shop, it is a famous chain in Canada. Not hard to figure out, I bought a muffin and coffee took went for a hike. Not eating the muffin I put it in the console of a black vehicle this was in march and forgot all about it. I was looking for something in the car around September/ October I came across this bag and remembered want it was. Thinking I had a science experiment being a guy I looked in and found it was the same as the day I bought it wasn’t even hard it felt like it just came out of the oven. I have never been back to that chain or pretty much all fast food places, I only buy baked goods if I don’t make them myself is buy from a mom and pop shops.

      @circleofthewolfairsoft7419 6 місяців тому +3

      Also what gets me as in Canada I can only talk about, but they talked about paper was such a bad thing paper bags for groceries, lunches, garbage bags. So move to plastic so we save trees, not to mention the bags were made from pine/ spruce/ and end cuts that were not good for anything but for making the pulp. Now plastic is a bad thing, now we are back to making paper bags that are a lot cheaper made, and everything is fine. This is why I sit with a lot of younger people and talk with them having them understand to question everything, if you don’t understand get them to make you understand. Don’t be shy and ask the questions.

      Yes. We all grew up moving around tons more. Just bot having computers or cell phones. You could talk on the phone… until someone else needed it. You could watch tv… but we only started having options beyond scheduled tv (ie. 3-5 networks with their channel programs, and no replays or repeats. If you want the new episode of Little House on the Prairie or Charlie’s Angels, you had to tune in the scheduled day and time.)
      We played in the neighborhoods. We did sports, learned instruments. Rode bikes. Skated (later, bladed). We just were not glued to screens.

      Try Lily’s chocolate and Bake Believe for healthier chocolate. They’re sweetened with stevia and have only “clean” ingredients. I was glad to find them to have a guilt-free treat now and then. My favorite is the Dark chocolate baking chips… yum! Both are available from Wal Mart and sometimes Target.

    I remember very clearly the twinkies tasting way better back then. The sponge cake had a sweeter flavor and the cream in the middle was more vanilla. It was delicious and I honestly saw a change in the early 2010's when hostess got taken over by a new company and their snack cakes now taste like chemicals and the flavor is not even close to what it was. Another thing that tasted better back in the day were Oreo Cookies and Chips Ahoy cookies.

      Do you really think that Autism is created in kids from food they eat? Personally I believe that most people with Autism are born that way....
      I say that because I'm on the spectrum. I was born that way. It wasn't caused by chemicals in food. Lol.
      I do believe the chemicals in food can cause obesity and other health issues. But Autism is "born not made".

    • @caterinaramirez8864

      Or maybe it’s because autism is more widely understood and understood as a way wider spectrum. A lot of adults are only getting diagnosed now as their children and grandchildren are getting diagnosed based on the same “quirks” they’ve lived with their entire lives, which also adds to the numbers.

Post makes Grape-Nut Flakes, and that product DOES contain added sugar. Original Grape-Nuts is one of the few cold cereals I still buy. Some types of Shredded Wheat without BHT,Uncle Sam Cereal (now hard to find) and regular Oatmeal are are other 3 I know that have been around for over a hundred years, and still worth buying. I grew up on Corn Flakes in the 60’s , but wouldn’t give a plug nickel for them now!

Kids nowadays eat high fructose corn syrup and just sit around playing with their gadgets and video games. No physical exertion. So you know where that fructose go to.
