@@CreepyBanana Burst weapons are great, as they are good vs vets who start dodging after being hit and require several shots to finish with normal guns.
Yes other than that, a higher cost and slightly less damage. You can still 2 tap people but it's not allways garanteed. Most likely you'll need to land 3 shots. But with it's higher firerate. You'll easily be able to do that.
Logistics is everything in Foxhole, logistics is everything in any war. Those 20 extra bmats per crate add up. Want a prime example? It depends on how you use your rifles. Argenties and Blakerows make for great skirmishing tools but lack the consistent area-denying presence of other rifles. We don't talk about the hawthorn.
Side note: Loughcaster is the OG rifle. Argenti used to be called "Carbine" which is meant to be a step-up of the standard rifle (Loughcaster), so it makes sense why the Argenti tops the Loughcaster. Personally, I like the rhythm of the Loughcaster more even though I'm a collie. Perhaps I'm just more used to it from the old days.
I know exactly what you mean. When I see old content before the asymmetrical gameplay, I get nostalgic of the old rifle. The Loughcaster isn't exactly the same though I'm pretty sure it has a different sound or something.
What really sucks about the Hawthorne is that it could have been not just incredibly unique but actually useful weapon. I'm saying this because the Russian Obrez (what I think the Hawthorne is based on) was basically just a Mosin with nearly its entire barrel sawed off, and this created a massive muzzle flash and flameout that was capable of burning off the skin of people shot by it at point blank, and as there was no rifling the bullet tumbled which while yes it reduced accuracy (but not by as much as you'd think), it basically turned into a rifle caliber shotgun slug that was insanely lethal. There are accounts from the Russian Civil War of calvary pulling out their Obrez's and firing on soldiers and blowing their heads clean off as if said soldiers got hit by a 20mm round, and whats interesting is that they would be able to hit shots with an Obrez at ranges of up to 20 meters which considering the fact that it basically had no barrel as well as lacked a front (and sometimes rear sight), is honestly quite incredible. The Devs could've made the Hawthorne a one shot wonder, a weapon so silly and ridiculous yet terrifying to come across due to its massive muzzle flash/being able to burn off the skin of whoever it shot yet they just made it a shorter Loughcaster which is pretty sad
I love the Catena, I'm Warden this war but I always search for it when their has been a massive fire fight and I've heard that distinct sound from the enemy trench. I'll probably go Collie next war just so I get to use it more.
Yeah but the argenti is good at that too in my opinion. I tried to keep this list as unbiased as possible but my personal hate for burst weapons might have crept though a just little XD

The reason I take blakerow every time over sampo is the bayonets attachment. Form range they are similar guns, but the blakerow firs faster, as at range the sampo can’t use its auto fire cause it’s inaccurate. At close range, the sampo’s auto fire is countered by the blakerow bayonets which can kill them. So I prefer the blakerow in trench’s and out in the field

Honestly expect in some niches of trench warfare with lots of turns and more enemies than allies a sampo wouldn't need a bayonet so it's not missing on much I am pretty sure it takes a bit to long to pull it out before you start firing which is annoying althouth I am not perfectly sure this problem actually exists but aiming and moving into position instead of running into position and then aiming isn't a big deal
As a Warden main, I can tell you that I can clear some houses and trenches with an Argenti. Its great for an upclose and push role. I do love my lough rifle or lolrifle. However it always causes me to hang back to give the enemy time to counter or regroup if I miss my target. For the trade off of two meters I will take an argenti every time. The lough needs either another meter to make a difference or it needs to hit harder for its weight and firerate inferiority. I wouldnt mind if both base rifles were the same either tbh.

My personal tier list is blakerow, argenti, sampo. But for different things, blakerow with bayonets is my go to load out for EVERY engagement, I think it is the best gun in the game, Argenti is a good cheap all rounder, and sampo is ok cause it can fire fast but it can’t use bayonets and so it’s kinda niche. But this is biased, I’m a warden loayalist
something you need to consider when judging a rifle is initial stability or "first shot" stability, often an engagement will be determined by who hits first. the sampo and argenti are quite good at this, cantena too
The problem with the Blakerow is that it's still a Warden rifle when it comes to stabilization, so the higher fire rate really only helps you miss more shots
I've honestly gotten good mileage out of all these weapons in my time in foxhole. Though as a colonial main I would move the Fuscina to a solid B tier, as it is one of my preferred weapons. It excels best in mid range combat, especially trench fighting which has yet to close to close combat. The 3 round burst while high on recoil is excellent in getting at least 1 round to hit a enemy in a opposing trench. Your not likely to hit the enemy with all of them, but at the very least some of them. However this 'narrow' optimal field may see it more in the C-tier category. But I do claim it makes a great at nicking the enemy in entrenched areas, or sniping people shadow dancing. Though you are likely going to want 2-3 Argeti to every person using a Fuscina, as to allow for counter bayonet charges. Similar with the Catena, I would say move it to C or D. Its highly situational, but its a decent weapon, which does well in repelling charges, when out numbered. Slow reload yes, but I've actually never been over run while using a Catena, due to either being in the trench second line or a structure. Smart placement can mitigate its issues, as well as brining 5 clips over the standard 3 clips your supposed to. Scavenging the basic ammo needed from dead allies also helps off set this issue. I agree its situational, and honestly I prefer a Fuscina, but the Catena is a good defensive weapon, with smart placement. D tier may be more fitting, due to it being highly situational, but I would put it personally in C. The Blakerow, I have used three times and its... okay. I agree its D tier, but its unique play area as a medic weapon helps it out when needed.

I haven't really played with any of them so I don't really feel comfortable rating them. But once I get them in my hand I'll make 2nd part for this video
Because we can't just do an ordinal list, I am adding performance ratings: 1. Fuscina 9.2 2. Cinder 8 3. Argenti 7.5 4. Loughcaster 7.3 5. Sampo 6.9 6. Volta 6.2 7. Blakerow 6.1 8. Hawthorn * 6.0 9. Catena 4.5 10. Omen 3.2 *Medics with Anti-Personnel Scalpels Colonials were shafted with the 2 worst rifles in the game. The Omen is the most throwaway rifle in the game. While it boasts an increased range the rate of fire and accuracy are painfully slow. The Volta has a more satisfying stopping power by comparison, however the flavor text/lore says it is a repeater, and it does not fire like a repeater (devman why you do this). The Catena needs a larger magazine or something to make up for its other limitations. The Fuscina and Cinder are supremely good weapons with considerably diverse combat roles. That said you will find vastly more use out of the Fuscina than the Cinder which requires daylight for optimal use. Most of these weapons are closer together in terms of performance. The easiest rifles to pick up and use are the Argenti, Blakerow, Loughcaster, and Sampo in that order (Sampo has slight learning curve but good crowd control use). The rifles that require the most experience and practice are the Volta, Hawthorn, and the Fuscina. Fuscina is not a purely run and gun weapon, but it shines as a trench advance weapon.. You should practice moving to cover, kneeling, and learning to be patient. It's also a superb anti-logi rifle. It's not the best counter-partisan weapon.
Fuscina is at least B due to it being best as a nighttime and partisan's rifle (ability to kill in one burst and best DPS among rifles). Blakerow is S, but below Argenti as it is slightly worse for shadow dancing due to lower min accuracy. Loughcaster might be B too as in a long combat when everyone is looting almost all vets replace with Argenti or Blakerow.
The Blakerow is good but I don't think it's an S. The reason being is that the bullets tend to sway right or left every other shot, even when fully focused. It does help when you're a little off due to the enemy's movements and it just so happens to sway the right way, but if they're standing completely still and it sways it flies right by them. For that reason I tend to stick with the Loughcaster since my bullets go where I want them to and the extra range is nice.
Dude! Fuscina is totally best rifle bar down! Sure it’s close range, but it’s burst feature makes it the best weapon to deal with close range, and charging wardens with bayonets. One can literally call it the colonial M16 that lacks full auto mode. It’s so good Wardens literally are seen with it just as much as colonials are. And they do so just to win the war.
@@krustygaming5887I would say a jack of all trades and a master of none is better than something that is excellent in one field (most cases) In a completely off-topic example. The- F-35 is a multi-role stealth fighter that can do multiple things and can perform amazingly (or even excell) in every situation. It can do SEAD (Suppression of Enemy Air Defense). The F-35 can conduct AWACS missions, the F-35 can take out other aircraft with missiles, it's still very maneuverable, can take out ground targets or ships with cruise missiles and smart bombs and it's the most mass produced 5th gen aircraft today. As banana said, the Argenti is a all rounder. Good in any situation.
The Catena was pretty mid when It first came out with even the Hawthorne seeming like the better of the two, but recently it seems to have gotten an accuracy buff. Even when going full auto, the spread doesn't go as crazy as the Sampo and starts off really tight. I've seen lots of Collies popping off with it recently, especially defensively. Being Worden, I pick it up any chance I stumble across it now and get a good amount of kills that seem a little unfair. I'd say the ammo drawback is good otherwise I'd just start avoiding engagements with it unless I had the range On the same topic It seems like the Catara LMG got an accuracy nerf. Seen a lot less Collies with it. The spread is insane unless you steady yourself, and even then it's still pretty bad for the amount of ammo It holds.
i watched this video with the immediate expectation of flaming you for not putting the Blakerow at #1 like everyone else. Color me pleasantly suprised!
I’m a colonial and while I do my share of logi I adore warden guns. I love the Fucina but stolen loughcasters are great…. As are stolen Neville’s when you’re popping tracks but I think that might no longer be a thing post infantry update. Still over all I prefer longing and heavy rifles because I hate enemy medics that get cocky and ultimate gun of pre infantry update the gas lunare.
HAWTHORNE can use bayonnets. This was not talked about. Other than that, Sampo has a not so bad aim with small burst of fire, fuscina is seen as lethal by wardens. No wardens like the argenti, when on the receiving part. My rifle of comfort is a good old Loughcaster.
Hawthornes do have one great situational use (better filled by the Argenti but whatever) and that use is... gunners plate+hawthorne+bayonet+colliesonlylookstraightahead = a trench full of dead collies and you laugh hysterically. P.S. Why'd you not mention the heavy rifles like the repeater or hangman? As a Warden I grab the repeater whenever I can.
Hmm I'll have to try out the Hawthorne that way. P.S. As I said in the beginning of the video. I'll talk about heavy and long rifles in a different video because I'm allergic to making videos longer than 10min 😅
Sawn off secondary weapon weight is more than a main rifle. Fantastic "balance" ey, these guys haven't taken a hard look at infantry gameplay for a VERY long time.
100% disagree on your assessment on the Catena rifle. It’s rapid rate of fire and aggressively fast crosshair focusing makes it a truly oppressive weapon. It has minimal focus loss from fire recall and movement, making it deadly accurate much faster and more consistently then the other rifles on the list.
the fact you put the Hawthorne and catena so low makes me question the whole list. catena is the best rifle semi auto or manual rifle in game and the Hawthorne is great cause you can have a full auto weapon in your main (fiddler) and then still have the bayo equipped to the Hawthorne. im a collie but if i see a Hawthorne on the ground thats now my Hawthorne other note: rifle bloom should be taken into consideration in a 1v1 the argenti 2 shots but the blakerow 3 shots and the argenti is still fast enough to get those 2 shots of while the blakerow is stabilizing its 3rd bloom could take a S tier gun (old dusk) and make it an F tier gun (new dusk)
woah the mental gymnastics you had to do to define the sampo as B tier... you say the argenti is good for closing the gap, well same with the sampo but its better? You also can choose if you are closing a gap mood or shooting afar mood with it thanks to its fire mode... and dont get me started how good it is at close range and for cutting logi (you empty the mag at the logi and its disabled)... Perhaps you are gatekeeping it so devs wont nerf it or you havent played enough before making this video
Like I said in the video, not being able to equip a bayonet was a massive draw back for me but this video was made before the infantry update and now that bayonets have been nerfed, I'll have take antoher look at this list. 1. Fuscina 9.2
2. Cinder 8
3. Argenti 7.5
4. Loughcaster 7.3
5. Sampo 6.9
6. Volta 6.2
7. Blakerow 6.1
8. Hawthorn * 6.0
9. Catena 4.5
10. Omen 3.2
*Medics with Anti-Personnel Scalpels
Colonials were shafted with the 2 worst rifles in the game.
I have to disargee with the sampo its prob one of the best rifles in game when ever i get a sampo in my hands i distory any warden inf i find
Argenti above loughcaster immediately invalidated the whole list, major L
The argenti is just a good all rounder, it's the perfect middle ground between the blakerow and the loughcaster.
@@CreepyBanana a jack of all trades is a master of none
@@krustygaming5887I would say a jack of all trades and a master of none is better than something that is excellent in one field (most cases)
In a completely off-topic example.
@@krustygaming5887 The Argenti is way better in most situations and remains relevant even in late war.
Yeah, more weapon review videos pls
I'm working on a story video rn, but I'm writing a script for the next ranking video as we speak 😎
@@CreepyBanana keep em coming gang !/"!"ii""""""
The Catena was pretty mid when It first came out with even the Hawthorne seeming like the better of the two, but recently it seems to have gotten an accuracy buff.
Even when going full auto, the spread doesn't go as crazy as the Sampo and starts off really tight.
I've seen lots of Collies popping off with it recently, especially defensively.
Being Worden, I pick it up any chance I stumble across it now and get a good amount of kills that seem a little unfair.
I'd say the ammo drawback is good otherwise I'd just start avoiding engagements with it unless I had the range
On the same topic It seems like the Catara LMG got an accuracy nerf.
Seen a lot less Collies with it. The spread is insane unless you steady yourself, and even then it's still pretty bad for the amount of ammo It holds.
Cetena should be placed in A after the buff
I have gotten a couple more chances to play with it and I get why people like it... I would give it a solid b tier tho
Argenti
Argenti is love, argenti is life
Coming from a Warden loyalist, the Argenti is the finest infantry rifle in the game
whatre ya smokin
I don't smoke 😅
The exlusion of sniper rifles makes us, its fans, upset. Both of us.
They'll come in a follow up video but I'll be honest I'm not a big fan of snipers 😅
Argentir cause it makes shadow dancing so easy
i watched this video with the immediate expectation of flaming you for not putting the Blakerow at #1 like everyone else.
I love bannana getting a french pronounctiation of a word that isn't french.
Aren't the Wardens french or something? 😅
@@CreepyBananaWarden names are mostly scottish/irish/generally gaelic, like Callahan.
Argenti and Loughcaster are bouth the best...
They are the most abundant rifle
@@CreepyBananaHahaha, my bad
How do you feel about this list now that the infantry update is out chief?
I feel like I gotta remake the entire video. Loughtcaster is def way better now with the new trench meta.
@ I had a feeling 💎 At least Sampo (my beloved) hasn’t changed much.
Catena, Sampo, Argenti.
Agrenti and the new Catena
wait wait wait there is a new war????? 0:00
Well, I finished this video about a week and a half ago and thought there would be a new war by this time 😅
Sawn off secondary weapon weight is more than a main rifle. Fantastic "balance" ey, these guys haven't taken a hard look at infantry gameplay for a VERY long time.
Fascina is goated
100% disagree on your assessment on the Catena rifle. It’s rapid rate of fire and aggressively fast crosshair focusing makes it a truly oppressive weapon. It has minimal focus loss from fire recall and movement, making it deadly accurate much faster and more consistently then the other rifles on the list.
i knew this video is bad when i see Catena F rank xD
Sampo ftw
the fact you put the Hawthorne and catena so low makes me question the whole list. catena is the best rifle semi auto or manual rifle in game and the Hawthorne is great cause you can have a full auto weapon in your main (fiddler) and then still have the bayo equipped to the Hawthorne. im a collie but if i see a Hawthorne on the ground thats now my Hawthorne
other note: rifle bloom should be taken into consideration in a 1v1 the argenti 2 shots but the blakerow 3 shots and the argenti is still fast enough to get those 2 shots of while the blakerow is stabilizing its 3rd
bloom could take a S tier gun (old dusk) and make it an F tier gun (new dusk)
Why dont you compare the aiming time?
Argenti has auto-aim feature
Cantena is A tier, 2 taps lliek crazy, love to shadow dance with it
Huh, I'll have to take a second look at it then
cool
you're cool
Where long rifles?
woah the mental gymnastics you had to do to define the sampo as B tier... you say the argenti is good for closing the gap, well same with the sampo but its better? You also can choose if you are closing a gap mood or shooting afar mood with it thanks to its fire mode... and dont get me started how good it is at close range and for cutting logi (you empty the mag at the logi and its disabled)... Perhaps you are gatekeeping it so devs wont nerf it or you havent played enough before making this video
Like I said in the video, not being able to equip a bayonet was a massive draw back for me but this video was made before the infantry update and now that bayonets have been nerfed, I'll have take antoher look at this list. This is the problem with videos like this they get out of date very fast because the game is contantly changing. So before jumping to the wildest conclusions, pls keep that in mind.
