- I demonstrate the operation of an impulse regenerator that was used in telephone exchanges of the past. This electromechanical memory was introduced in the 1930s by the British Post Office to restore dial pulses in the telephone network. I explain the operation of the regenerator and the associated relay set.
Randomly came across this in my recommendations. Immensely interesting! Subbed. Please keep up the good work. 😊
If you haven’t already you should look up Evan Doorbell and the Connections Museum if you’re interested in this kind of stuff. Its a really deep rabbit hole to dive into and is immensely fascinating.
This took me back a bit. We still had Strowger exchanges on British Railways in the late 1970's and early 80's. Just the sound of selectors chattering is so evocotive of the era. Thank you for your excellent explanation - I couldn't have done it.
This was alot of fun to work on. Much more fulfilling and a sense of accomplishment back then
Excellent video. I used to be a exchange switchman for the bell system in the 70's. It was a Step by Step System.
Thanks. Have you seen my other videos?
@Wim der Kinderen not yet, but I sure will watch them. I miss the Ole relay switching systems alot.
vídeo muito bom.
Does anyone know the best way to get my old pulse dial phone working with ringer if you only have a Horrible router Thanks
